So thanks to the lovely world of Twitter, I stumbled across this amazing design site call Society6.com. And while perusing this site during working hours, for research purposes OBVIOUSLY, I came across Chris McVeigh, aka powerpig. Chris is an illustrator, photographer, author, and a regular contributor for MacWorld, living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I was lucky enough to get a Q+A with this talented Halifaxian, and you must check out his work!!

LW - Ok, how did you start off with your Star Wars lego photos? What inspired you?

CM - Around about the time I purchased my first DSLR, I got a Flickr account and started uploading photos. I seemed to gather an audience rather quickly, and I was always looking for new things to post to entertain people. Eventually that taking pictures of toys and chipmunks, usually somehow related to Star Wars. I wasn't really inspired by anything -- I was just doing whatever I thought might be comical. (Chewie and Chris Colfer on set)

Last week Glee's Matthew Morrison was on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show and talked about the Glee Holiday special. He surprised us all by telling us it would be a "Throw back and a tribute to the Star Wars Holiday Special and the Judy Garland Christmas Special." This definitely sparked my imagination, and I'm sure you'd all agree. How can one possibly top the unparelled genius of the Star Wars Holiday Special? This is going to be quite a feat, and I'm so Glee-ger to watch and learn! Read more...

So have I ever mentioned that I have a girl crush on Ashley Eckstein? You know, the founder of Her Universe and voice of Ahsoka Tano on Clone Wars?? She is just so frakking adorable, nice, cute and when I stand next to her, I look like I'm six months pregnant! WTF??? Ok enough, anyway, Her Universe is debuting all new holiday products this Monday November 28th!!

In addition to presenting assorted new Geek Girl pieces to the Her Universe product line, Eckstein is offering a FREE Limited Edition Star Wars holiday pin of everyone's favorite Jedi Master, Yoda. For the first 500 orders placed on heruniverse.com shoppers will receive this pin along with a signed card from Eckstein, herself. For orders of $40.00 or more, heruniverse.com customers will receive FREE SHIPPING as well.

Available for the first time this holiday season is a new thermal hoodie design with original art by Star Wars artist, Cat Staggs. Also from the beloved Star Wars franchise is a regal sterling silver plated Jedi charm to add to the already popular Star Wars charm bracelet. For Syfy, Eckstein has created several new products for their television shows including a Battlestar Galactica pajama set and a stunning, sterling silver plated Battlestar Galactica necklace featuring Admiral Adama's senior pilot wings. For followers of Warehouse 13, Eckstein has produced an ultra-soft WH 13 logo burnout tee so you can imagine you're a Warehouse agent seeking supernatural artifacts while you "snag it, bag it and tag it." As a fan of the Syfy series, Eureka, Eckstein has created a useful holiday tote bag featuring the cast of Eureka in animated form with exclusive art from the holiday episode of this fan favorite show. All of these new items will be available to order on the Her Universe website starting on November 28th.

Ok I speak for myself when I say the hoodie has me written all over it!! How damn cute is that? And how true? Yikes..

Ok time to start shopping for my fellow chick Jedis!

Ok so once again, it's that time year, time to sit down, relax with a bowl of popcorn and watch the Star Wars Holiday Special, OH YEAH! And while you're watching this painfully long, I mean EXHILARATING piece of art, you may have some down time to do some Internets shopping. And well, Woodsy has her favorite Star Wars items this year for you all to consider!!

1. PLUSH CHEWIE!! The big one! I fell in love with this 24" furry creature last February at the Toy Fair in NYC!! You can get it at www.thinkgeek.com. NO, GET IT.

2. Hasbro's Darth Vader Ultimate FX Lightsaber. I wore this out Halloween weekend when I was classic Leia in the snow storm and it was awesome! It has really genuine lightsaber sound effects and the red is spot on. I thought I was the perfect Princess Leia ever until some punk kid's mother called me out, accusing me of having the wrong colored saber. I could only feel sorry for this kid for having such a critical mom. Get this at Hasbro.com. Read more...

Hello Clone Wars fans! Another new episode hits the airwaves this Friday...and that means more clips!

Here's the DL:

The fierce General Krell orders Captain Rex and the clone troopers of the 501st to conquer a heavily fortified Umbaran airbase. It is absolutely essential the clones succeed, for the rest of the planetary invasion depends on it. Krell will accept nothing less than victory, but the mission seems impossible – the clones must march overland through hostile territory and monstrously advanced enemy technology. Unless the clones can use their ingenuity to counter these threats, it will be a certain suicide mission.

Check out these awesome clips:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Season 4 ep. 8, The General' Clip 2

This second installment in the epic four-part Umbara story arc raises the stakes and is filled with big screen cinematic action – and with good reason. Helming the episode as director is Walter Murch. A renowned film editor and sound designer, Murch won an Academy Award for his sound editing work on Apocalypse Now, and an unprecedented double-Oscar win for both sound and picture editing for The English Patient. A longtime friend and creative collaborator with George Lucas, Murch worked with Lucas on the films THX 1138 and American Graffiti. He quite literally wrote the book on film editing, the influential In the Blink of an Eye.

Don't miss it! The General, a new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT Friday, October 28th on Cartoon Network.

Star Wars crafting superstar Bonnie Burton teaches you how to make Yoda puppets!

So if for some ODD reason you missed my MTV Geek live stream last Sunday from New York Comic Con, you can still watch it here on MTV Geek! We did a Star Wars Craft demo with the author of The Star Wars Craft Book Bonnie Burton! Also joining us was Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano in Clone Wars and founder of Her Universe, MTV Geek's own Liz Lee and The Nerdist's Jonah Ray! My apologies for looking pregant in what I thought was a cool hooded top, somehow I always manage to dress horribly on camera! WTF? I SWEAR I DON'T LOOK LIKE THAT IN PERSON!

Star Wars Craft Demo Part 1

We had a lovely half an hour of making Yoda puppets, we changed the original instructions to make it more camera and user-friendly but still had a blast! You can follow along using the handy-dandy chart below: Read more...

This Star Wars/Indiana Jones mashup is by Paul Gulacy

Some of you may remember my review last year on the first book in the Star Wars Art Series, Visions -- well, now Lucasfilm and Abrams Publishing have released the second book in the series, Star Wars Art: Comics!

Bringing together the very best from the entire history of Star Wars comics as well as a dazzling collection of new art created just for the book, Star Wars Art: Comics features pieces from comic luminaries such as Al Williamson, Adam Hughes, John Cassaday, Sam Kieth, Mike Mignola, Paul Pope, Frank Quitely, Dave Dorman, Bill Sienkiewicz, and many more. Best of all, the art in Star Wars Art: Comics was hand-picked and curated by George Lucas!

The illustrations from Star Wars Art: Comics are all beautiful, hilarious, and thought provoking! Once again, Lucasfilm has outdone itself with this book. My favorite one is by Paul Gulacy, where Han Solo and Chewie are running away from the Death Star just like Indiana Jones ran away from that huge stone ball in Raiders. They just can't seem to shake these things -- so frakking funny and going on my wall!
