There's no doubt that the 3DS has been in a bit of a slump since it was released earlier this year. However, over the last few months things have changed quite a bit; the price has dropped, Netflix has become available, "Ocarina of Time" was released, and that's just to name a few. Even with all that, there has been one thing that has absolutely plagued the system since launch: no Mario. Well, that's about to all change on November 13 with the release of "Super Mario 3D Land," Mario's first, original, three-dimensional game on a portable system. And the best part, at least for Nintendo, it just may be the system seller they need this holiday season.

Aliens: Infestation

The "Aliens" franchise has been scaring moviegoers since the late 1970s, with video game interpretations of the Xenomorphs beginning to show up in the early 1980s, on the Atari 2600. Numerous games over the years have pit humans against their biggest adversaries; some good and some not so good. The latest entry into the franchise, "Aliens: Infestation," manages to treat the source material with loving care, and bring the series to the Nintendo DS for the first time. Developed by WayForward Technologies and published by Sega, "Infestation" puts our species' biggest threat into the palm of your hand.

Solatorobo: Red The Hunter

When games take seemingly random elements of other games and blend them all together into one, the results are usually less than stellar. However, XSEED's latest release, the localized version of CyberConnect2's "Solatorobo: Red The Hunter," manages to mix mechs, RPGs, puzzles, action, and anthropomorphic dogs and cats into one game, and somehow pulls it off.
