Today brings photos of Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Emma Thompson, and Nicole Scherzinger on the set of Men in Black III. James Brolin, Jemaine Clement, and Rip Torn also star, with Gemma Arterton, Alec Baldwin, and Sharlto Copley rumored for small roles. The plot reportedly revolves around the villain Yaz (Clement) travelling back in time to assassinate Agent Kay, which sets off a chain of events that will destroy the Earth.
The sequel started filming this week in advance of a May 25, 2012 3D release. Hit the jump to see the images.
Nothing too revelatory (Thompson’s MIB agent will wear… a black suit!), save for maybe Scherzinger’s Leia-esque hairstyle. But this is Day 2. We’ll get the juicy looks soon enough. I’m excited to see Clement in costume as the extraterrestrial Boris, though perhaps the more interesting aspects of his character design will be added in post-production.

Tommy Lee Jones looks like he doesn’t want to be there
Tommy Lee, didnt even look like he wanted to be there in MIB2
I would totally see an all Black remake of Star Wars with her as Leia…
she’s not black though.
No,no,no,no,no! Don’t EVER touch Star Wars! That movie is sacred.
A remake of Star Wars will eventually happen. Probably not until George Lucas is long dead, but it will happen.
The new movies probably won’t resemble the originals very much. It will be an updated take on the series.
This could be a good thing if the right people do it.
MIB films were craps!!!
I like all MIB films
Gross.
HE LOOKS LIKE HE WANTS TO BE THERE STUPID.
Stupid men.
why is this bein made?? i dont get it…
Because it will make a butt load of money. That’s the only reason people make movies.
why is this bein made?? i dont get it…
at least the MIB flicks are original material, so many movies today are remakes of other successful films from years ago[[that did not require a remake just to showcase todays actors, give them a real original]] and tv shows that didn’t need a movie based on them cause they reeked on tv. just shows the lack of creativity in LA these days.
