We are still trying to get estimates - I think the plan is that they will move in once we get the basement finished. I'm still really leary. Just that nawing feeling if you know what I mean. But we'll see.
I just found Phyllis on facebook - I did something where you put in your email address and it somehow found friends based on the email addresses.
Pretty cool.
Have a great week.View Thread
Tomorrow I need to clean the house and then hopefully go to see my dad in the late afternoon.
I hope everyone has a great labor day weekend.

I felt pretty good at the baseball game-just got sunburned on my face! Almost half of the animals were sleeping at the zoo. We stopped to eat at the zoo and I wanted to review my pics on camera and saw the battery had fallen out! The door on it was opening sometimes when I took camera out of case so I had to close it. We hoped they had one at gift shop there and were going to check when we were done eating. After the few people cleared out (sat down) I saw it on the sidewalk behind us! Thank you!! I was surprised no one stepped on it! My daughter cut a piece off a bandaid to secure the door. Worked well.
I've been putting some pics on facebook. We saw a double rainbow on the way home. Nice finish! And the fact that I lost 5 lbs on trip. I could tell I was getting wore out from walking! Especially without a break in between days.

Had an exciting last day at work! One of the new individuals just can't stay sitting down! He always wants to look at the window and door to see who's coming and going. Gonna have to break him of that! Already made a suggestion to one of the behavior anylists for a program for him.View Thread
Tomorrow is a new day Hooray for new days!
Hope it is uneventful.
Take care

The movie was very good--I really enjoyed it! Saturday I promised him I'd take him to see "Despicable Me" in 3D. Prices for the 3D movies are out of sight though! Even with my senior discount the "Toy Story 3" ticket was $12 and also $12 for Jacob. Popcorn and a drink for him then adds almost $10 more so it's not a cheap afternoon. He's having fun which is the main thing!
Have a good week!

I think we get on the board when we can and have to do what we can. Good to hear from everyone.... You're helping the soil with all those plants Phyllis. You must have a beautiful showcase when they all are growing! Maybe we'll see some pics on facebook? I see some of my periwinkles got left when the rest froze over the winter. I'm trying to put them all in one place! Some are in other plant's pots! Our weather is getting better everyday. The rain is less but the grass still grows.
Everyone having cookouts this weekend? I got invited to a football game Saturday and a cook out on Sunday. Maybe this time it won't rain and we'll get in the pool! lol
Have a good weekend and be safe, LindaView Thread
Glad you have your new computer. I hope the rain doesn't do too much damage. This has certainly been a weird year for weather to say the least.
We have had the hottest June on record. We did get a brief downpour today, which helped a bit with the parched ground.

I clicked on the thing that notifes you when you get responses to activity on the board here, so that will let me know when there are responses.
I hope you get your mirror fixed Linda - that's a bummer. also hope you feel better. There is a lot of stuff going around here. Colds and a stomach bug. My little grandson got the stomach bug and was sick for 5 days.

On my way to get stakes and wire holders for tall plants also. I have a beautiful ti plant now. My grandson mowed for me last weekend. He didn't notice my wisteria I planted a few weeks ago and I didn't have it marked. He mowed it down! I found stem and put in water, maybe it'll root. I also see the main root is intact in ground so been watering it so it won't dry out. I know it looks like some of the weeds that grow big around here! the wisteria was about 2 feet tall.
Have a good weekend, LindaView Thread
Oh me. By sunday I was broken ot all over my hands and arms. Thank goodness I make a doctor apointment and got some predisone. That is really the only stff that will hand my poisin ivy.
I feel kind of like a baby going in and getting the drug, but then I fitre I ned to be able to work and can't be stopping to itch my arms every few minutes and risk is getting infected. So here I am "Pumped up on Steriods".
Does anyone have home remedies for posin ivy or oak, or smac that work? My dad was telling me abot a yellow soap, or something called felds soap. Just curios if anyone else has tried this.
I know it's hard for some of the memers to get their postings to work. I know email is probably the best alternative - but I thought I would give it another try in case there are other folks out there that wold like to join us....View Thread
I'm here! LOL. It was in the 80's here today and is supposed to be hotter tommorow, but then get cooler next week.
I don't think I've seen either one since we switched to the new board. Hopefully they will find the new exchange okay.
You also have a good weekend.

It is back to normal temps just about for the Mid Atlantic. It was in the high 50's low 60's this weekend. It is supposed to gradually start warming up again however.
I hope everyone has a great week.

I did send yours and Lois' address. I sent the email to you guys too so the address is on there too. We have a nice breeze coming thru. Was out in the yard a lot today. My grandson mowed and blowed the dirt and grass away from street. I need to get some grass seed to spread around out there!
Lois! Now you're complaining about the warm air! I know it's not warm....that's hot!! lol I see the wisteria I planted(from Mom's yard) is getting green buds of growth on it already. I need to get an arbor for it to grow on.
My daughter is putting a new grill together. It's a nice one with the extra grill on top to keep food warm. It has drawers and a cabinent for storage. Already have the steaks waiting!! Her boyfriend is coming later to join us.
The grass and dirt in the air is bothering my nose and throat. But, my son has cut half of the bathroom ceiliing out to replace it with dry wall. He cut the part that had the holes left from those critters we had up there last year. So I'll give it a new coat of paint once he's done.
Have a good weekend, LindaView Thread

It got chilly here today. This past weekend was absolutely beautiful, but then the rain came and it was downright chilly today.
The chow mein sounds good. I love Chinese food. Let us know how it turns out.
Have a good one

Most people truly believe that the current health care system is in a VERY bad situation and something has to be done. But who are the people who are against it and why?View Thread
Anthoxerzes - Welcome to active aging. I'm sorry that.you have developed kidney problems. I am definitely not an insurance expert.
Co Payment is what the patient pays after your insurance has paid it's percentage of their contracted amount for a particular procedure. Insurance companies contract with doctors, labs, hospitals, etc. The contract specifies how much they will pay for various procedures. My understanding is that the provider agrees to accept what the contracted amount is and write off the difference.
I would absolutely check with your insurance company to see if the provider participates with your insurance company. If they do participate, then they are supposed to accept what the insurance company pays - but of course if the insurance only pays a percentage of the bill, then you are liable for the rest.
But please call the inurance company - there you will get the answer for your situation.
Good luck.

I went to Georgia with my friends in geneology. We went to find a gravestone of one's family members and get pictures of it. We found 2. Then when we left we dicided to go thru Savannah on the spur of the moment! We took a guided tour on a trolley thru town. On the way home we stopped for dinner before we left Ga. It was a nice day and the weather stayed good.
I am trying to plan something in the future but our trip made me wonder what everyone else did.View Thread
