Frequently Asked Questions

What's EZ-PAY?

An example of the photos found in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
It's a way of saving time and money by using your credit or debit card to renew your subscription and eliminate the mail costs. Instead of receiving a bill every renewal period, the appropriate charge will appear on your credit or debit card every 4, 13, 26, or 52 weeks. Click here to sign up.

What payment options are available to subscribers?

Direct payment to the Post-Gazette by credit or debit card, check or money order is the most convenient method of payment. EZ-PAY automatic credit or debit card renewal eliminates receiving and returning a bill.

If you purchase a subscription for a friend or relative, the bill will be sent to you while delivery is made to the recipient.

What time each day can I expect my Post-Gazette to arrive?

Our target time for delivery is 6:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Among the factors effecting delivery times are late breaking news, weather, and the size of the paper.

How can I contact my Carrier?

We will handle the contact for you as the carrier's name and phone number are not always available to the Customer Service representative. The carrier is identified by a route number. A message can be left for the carrier to contact a customer regarding a billing or delivery comment by calling 1-800-228-NEWS (6397).

What promotions are currently being offered?

Click here to find out about our current special offer.

Why are my paper credits not showing up on my bill?

The credited amount does not show up on the billing statement. The credit is reflected in the subscription active "thru" date being extended.

When can I speak with a Customer Service Representative?

For any questions regarding your subscription please call 1-800-228-NEWS (6397) during the following EST hours: Monday - Friday: 6:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 7:00am - 12:00pm. You may also send us an e-mail.

Why did delivery continue after my money ran out?

Delivery and billing continues unless the Post-Gazette is otherwise notified. Most subscribers prefer an ongoing subscription and choose to continue the service after the initial term expires.

Why can't I speak directly with the carrier or District Manager?

The District Managers and carriers work overnight at Distribution Centers located throughout the metropolitan area. They also spend time in the field either delivering the paper or, in the case of the District Manager, resolving problems. Contact requests can be left for either the carrier or District Manager. Most contacts are made in the morning hours between 7:00 and 9:30am within two business days.

Do you accept credit or debit cards for payments?

Yes, we accept Visa, Discover, American Express and MasterCard. You can also automatically renew your subscription with EZ-PAY every 4, 13, 26 or 52 weeks with your credit or debit card. One-time payments can also be made by using your credit or debit card or your checking account. Call our Customer Service Center at 1-800-228-NEWS (6397) for more details.

Is it safe to pay for my subscription with a credit card on post-gazette.com?
