I just took Ava for her first dentist visit today and she did AWESOME! She let them do a full cleaning and flouride treatment and the dentist said that everything looked really good. They will probably wait to do their first set of x-rays in 6 months as well.View Thread

My husband is definitely OCD but not extreme. I've noticed some of those traits in DD. She has this Lucky Ducks game and everytime we play we have to be the same color as the last time. Then one day after playing she lined up all the ducks in a straight line before putting them away. We also have a calendar that we are using as a count down to baby (less than 2 weeks!! YAY!!) and we have her put a star sticker on at the end of each day. Most of the time the stars are all facing (yes they have faces on them) the same way. So she does have some characteristics of OCD but we're not worried.View Thread
The other day I asked him how old he was and he said "two" and then I asked him how old Mommy was just to see what he would say and he had a puzzled look on his face and then says is a questioning tone "three?"
He also counts 1-10 on his own and can sing the alphabet with music or someone else reciting it.
It has been about two weeks since he had a potty accident, so that is awesome!
He has also started picking at salad on his plate. He has been anti-vegetable since he turned one. He would once in a great while eat steamed veggies, but this is the first he has attempted raw veggies.View Thread

I love the pp's ideas!! Those are so great! Hmmm, sparkling grape juice (to celebrate..rather than champagne), a camera or video camera if they need one (good family present, if you can get others to help), pregnancy calendar/journal, comfortable nighties and night shoes...
Congrats!

You can also seek out a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) and Speech Therapist who will help your child improve in their delayed areas. I am an OT and have worked with many children with PDD who have overcome their challenges and no longer need services. Take Care.View Thread
