They are almost ready to release Wave 42 from their Marvel Comics lineup, with the Toys "R" Us exclusive waves catching up with number 12. What does that mean? It means you can get characters like the Kronan Stone Man and Arnim Zola (our favorite tv screen-chested scientist), that's what! Check out these photos of the packaged figures (featuring the new window box) and some info from our pals at DST.

Norman Osborn has run his course. We're getting kind of tired of seeing his weird-ass haircut and evil world-conquering schemes in the Marvel Universe. We miss him just being the Green Goblin, tooling around NYC on his glider and tossing pumpkin bombs at old ladies until Spider-man shows up to whip his ass. That's why were excited to find out Diamond Select Toys has heard our private thoughts (no doubt thanks to a Cerebro-type device) and are releasing a figure of the classic Green Goblin in their ever-better Marvel Select line of figures.

A Minimate Galactus with a minuscule Silver Surfer flying over his shoulder? Yes, please! This is but one of four figures that are available soon in the Toys "R" Us-Exclusive Heralds of Galactus box set from Diamond Select Toys freakishly popular Minimates line. Fans voted through an online poll for the toys to be included in this set, so if you voted then we suppose you're obligated to buy one. Bring the Devourer of Worlds home and set him on your shelf where he can look cute--and plot the eventual demise of the universe. Read more...

2011's New York Comic-Con is coming up fast. From October 13 through 16 we will be bringing you a ridiculous amount of coverage, which will include anything and everything about toys! Diamond Select Toys will have plenty of newsworthy goodies to the show including four different exclusive releases from their Femme Fatales, Minimates, and all-new Maximum Zombies lines!

Diamond Select Toys likes to think of its convention appearances as one long goodwill tour of America, bringing sneak peeks of its products and new, exclusive toys to different parts of the country. And this year's journey, having already stretched from Chicago's C2E2 to San Diego's Comic-Con, is now coming to an end in New York City, at the 2011 New York Comic-Con! Taking place at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan from October 13-16, the convention is the East Coast's biggest pop-culture gathering, and in addition to their famous Minimates panel (2:45 on Saturday, in Room 1A15), this year will be the home to four very cool exclusive DST products, including the two great Marvel Comics products and the first offerings from a brand-new line of Minimates!

Diamond Select Toys is known primarily for their lines of Minimates and Marvel Select action figures. Well, they’re looking to change their rep with a new line of highly-collectible statues that features characters both recognizable and all-new!

"Femme fatale." The French phrase has come to describe any mysterious, bewitching beauty, but one must remember the English translation, which is "deadly woman." These women may seduce you, but they will also rip your heart out (literally and/or metaphorically) when you have outlived your usefulness. It's why Diamond Select Toys chose the name for our line of 9-inch PVC statues -- the women we're depicting are beautiful, but they're also quite dangerous, as you can tell by the weapons they carry. (Although some are perfectly willing to make do with just their claws.) The sculpts on our four most recently announced pieces are all pretty killer, as well -- check 'em out below, and order the latest, Executioner Dawn, in the latest Previews!

Executioner Dawn
Why a third statue of Dawn? Because the goddess of birth and rebirth appears differently to everyone who sees her -- sometimes she's an innocent beauty, sometimes a fierce warrior. In the pages of Cry for Dawn, she has been Isis, Kali, Gaia, Mother Earth and more, the guardian of witches and the lover of Death. And as a lover of Death, she is often a dispenser of death, as well. The Executioner Dawn Femme Fatales statue is sculpted by Sam Greenwell, based on a design by Dawn creator Joseph Michael Linsner for the cover of Cry for Dawn #8. (Coming in February 2012) Read more...

How a vampire and a re-animated corpse procreate and give birth to a werewolf is anybody's guess. That's just the magic of classic television like The Munsters! The Munsters originally aired from September 24, 1964 to May 12, 1966, and lasted for for 70 episodes-- not too shabby considering the Addams Family was on TV during the same time period. Always a cult-favorite, The Munsters have seen a lot of toy-love over the years, but it's mostly been relegated to the Munster Coach (their wicked hot-rod). Now Diamond Select Toys is remedying the situation with the release of fully articulated action figures in the same vein as their Universal Monsters toys. Read more...

Marvel has managed to score yet another hit with their recent film based on Captain America. Granted, by this point it's pretty much a walk in the park leading to The Avengers, but it's nice that they're still putting out quality. After seeing the movie, we were excited to get these action figures on our doorstep courtesy of Diamond Select Toys. Welcome to our review of the Captain America and Red Skull First Avenger figures from DST's Marvel Select line.

Remember the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland? The one where she throws down on a steampunk-ish death train and helps the Walrus devour singing oysters during a live theater performance? No? well, then you obviously haven’t played Alice: Return to Madness, the video game sequel to American McGee’s original Alice game. In honor of the games release, and Diamond Select Toys’ acquiring of the license for toys, statues, and collectibles, they’re releasing an San Diego Comic Con exclusive!
