A deceased biographer and a first-time bestselling novelist are among the finalists for the 2011 National Book Awards. Five finalists in four categories – fiction, nonfiction, poetry and young people's literature – were announced Wednesday in Oregon. After the announcement, a sixth book was added to the list of finalists in young people's literature due to a miscommunication. |
