A Peters woman was found dead Saturday morning inside her home of smoke inhalation after her house went up in flames, authorities said.

Washington County Corner Tim Warco said Mary Ann Detrick, 64, of East McMurray Road was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:20 a.m.

Police and paramedics responding to the fire, which started around 7 a.m., found Ms. Detrick in her home.

The state fire marshal's office is investigating.
