GTA

Up to date as of February 09, 2010

From Grand Theft Wiki

A Tornado in GTA San Andreas (Rear quarter view).

The Tornado is a two-door lowrider featured in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Contents

Description

Design

The Tornado assumes the design of a late-1950s coupe, with signature sweeping curves and tailfins. The front half of the car (and most of the front bumper and grille) and rear window resemble those of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, while the windscreen, sides, back side and bottom half of the front bumper resemble a 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air.

The car serves as one of several gang cars for the Los Santos Vagos.

Performance

Having only two doors, the Tornado is only designed to carry two occupants, and as a result, is not a good choice for drive-bys because it lacks the four-seats that many other gang cars have. The car does make up for this deficiency with its above average top speed and acceleration (faster than most four-door lowriders), as well as its generally reliably stable cornering even with its long wheelbase that is supposed to hamper the car's maneuverability. Its low ground clearance, however, clearly makes the car unsuitable for rugged off-roading.

The Tornado is also durable and can take a good bit of gunfire before exploding. Although it doesn't appear to have a visible fuel cap, it will explode if the back license plate is shot.

Modifications

Trivia

  • In Grand Theft Auto IV, a car very similar to the Tornado can be seen in a picture in the back room of The Triangle Club in the borough of Bohan the only difference being that it has double headlights (much like the '58 Bel Air).
  • The default radio station in the Tornado is Radio Los Santos.

Locations

  • Spawns mostly around Los Santos Vagos teritories.
  • Spawns more often when the beater/junk car traffic cheat is activated.

Tornado is an American (Scottish-born) professional wrestler, best known for his work in the Slamtime Wrestling Coalition. He has also appeared in Tough Enough Wrestling, the Independent Wrestling Coalition and the Kingdom of Pride.

Contents

Early Life

Tornado was born in Dundee, Scotland to American parents. He moved to California at a very young age and grew up entirely in America. He also lived there for the majority of his wrestling career, but visits his home country on occasion.

Career

Early Career (2003-2005)

Among other things, Tornado had a casual interest in wrestling from his early teenage years. Beginning out of boredom and curiosity, he learned to wrestle at the age of 18. This hobby quickly developed into a passion, one thing lead to another, and in 2003 he found himself wrestling in shows at very small venues in Anaheim. Throughout 2004 and early-mid 2005, he took part in many one-off matches for underground companies in California, Texas, Arizona, Oregon and Washington.

Slamtime Wrestling Coalition (2005-2006)

Unable to find a stable place of work, he took a big risk and left his family, friends and partner behind to move across the country to Dayton, Ohio; where a new company was just forming: the Slamtime Wrestling Coalition. He debuted at the company's inauguration in November 2005, and became a regular roster member for the first time. His first match was in an 8-man free-for-all to determine the first SWC Champion - involving Tim Harrison (the eventual winner), The Phenomenal Blu, Matt Mathews, Inferno and others. Tornado was eliminated early on at the hands of Jace "The Shadow" Williams. He got revenge by defeating Jace in a wild hardcore match a week later. The following week, on a show entitled "Christmas Warfare", Tornado was placed in a no.1 contender match for the SWC Championship. It was a TLC triple threat, and his opponents were Inferno and Attik. Tornado won the match, but would lose to Tim Harrison in the championship match the next week.

Feeling like his character was growing stale, Tornado agreed to an angle which would see him turn heel. Backstage, during a conversation with a 16-year-old girl, he grew irritated for some reason, and made a big deal out of nothing. He lashed out at her and caused her severe whiplash as she smacked against a wall. Tim Harrison angrily confronted him. Tornado's minor irritation grew and grew, and he despised the way Tim thought a championship gave him some kind of authority. He spat in Tim's face, and promptly backed away and goaded him before Tim had time to react. Matt Mathews - who was in the middle of a championship feud with Harrison - and his girlfriend/wife Kayla Stone congratulated Tornado on his efforts. Tornado took this as sarcasm and mockery, and threw a fit at the pair before spitting on the floor and walking off. This did nothing to aid the fact that the big players in SWC viewed Tornado as incredibly small-time, and nothing more than a joke. This induced a vicious circle, as Tornado became even more ruthless and violent to try to prove everyone wrong.

A big, tall, mean African-American named Deebo issued an open challenge for SWC's first PPV "Anticipation", which Tornado gladly accepted. It soon emerged that Deebo was a troubled schizophrenic. Tornado capitalized on this, and made fun of it at every opportunity. Deebo also vowed to avenge the girl Tornado "assaulted", while Tornado was looking for a big win that would elevate his position in SWC, possibly push him to the main event, and most importantly get some respect. Both men had a motive to win heading into the PPV. Unfortunately, the match was interrupted by SWC owner Chris Norwitski's bodyguard: Sorrow. He decimated both competitors for seemingly no reason at all. On the first week after the PPV they had a rematch which was won by Tornado. This win was meaningless however, as SWC shut down shortly after, in very early 2006.

Tough Enough Wrestling (2006)

In February 2006, Tornado made his return to a company named Tough Enough Wrestling, based in New York. His real-life friend, Ben Scott, was the TEW Champion at the time, and was leading a battle against former SWC stars who had also jumped ship. Tornado made the decision to wrestle for the TEW side in a 5-on-5 survivor series match at the pay-per-view "Amityville Horror". This meant of course, that his opponents were some of his former colleagues and friends: Inferno, The Phenomenal Blu, Blade, Sorrow and Matt Mathews. Tornado was never legally involved in the match, yet he was the first eliminated, along with Matt Mathews who shared the same exact fate. Tornado went to stop Mathews' constant interference, and at the end of the brawl Matt powerbombed Tornado through one of the announcer's tables. He completely botched the move, and caused him to convulse severely, and gave him a neck and back injury and a concussion. The match went on, and Team SWC won in the end - Inferno being the sole survivor. Tornado was out of action for months, but to his displeasure, he never crossed paths with Mathews again.

Return to SWC (2006)

Tornado's first return to the ring after recovery was in his hometown in the Independent Wrestling Coalition in June 2006. It was a short-term deal which allowed him to fill the vacancy in the first match of the first show, against Terry Stevenson. The match was for the Innovative Championship, and had a 20-minute time limit with no falls. The winner would be the wrestler who was judged to have the best performance. It started off as crowd-pleasing technical barring, then it became hardcore with weapons involved, and it finally disintegrated into a spotfest. Stevenson got the better of Tornado in the end, and won the championship. Whether Tornado would have decided to continue to wrestle for the IWC is unknown, because the company shut down after only one show.

It was only a few weeks later before SWC resurfaced with Inferno and his wife Mia at the helm, and Tornado was all-too-happy to rejoin. This time, the roster was a mixture of old legends like Matt, Blu and Harrison; as well as up-and-coming stars on the indy circuit such as Kurt Noble, Chris Cage and Pat Doyle. On the debut show named "Resurrection", Tornado defeated a wrestler whose identity escapes the record books, where the show was stolen by the Cage Warfare main event. The follow-up show boasted a huge battle royal which would see the winner take home the SWC Technical Championship. Blade was still carrying the belt, as he won the title in SWC's first run. This match is notable, as it is the end of Blade's infamous undefeated streak. The final three were Tornado, Blade and Pat Doyle; and Tornado won the match to become Technical Champion: his first and only championship. Tornado defended it successfully against Pat Doyle on the next show, in a two out of three falls match which both men would recall in subsequent interviews as being "fucking epic". On the final show before SWC would close its doors for the last time, Blade defeated Tornado to win back the title in a dark untelevised dog collar match.

Kingdom of Pride (2007, 2009)

It would be a year before Tornado joined his next major wrestling company. His first match in Pride was with Christian Kane, who he had first met in SWC's second run. He was victorious, but lost a triple threat the following week with Christian and his half-brother Bonesnap. His final match in KoP was a melee for the Valiant Championship, won by Obscene. For the remainder of 2007 and the entire of 2008, Tornado has done nothing else of significance. He has wrestled on sporadic occasions throughout that time - say, 6 or 7 matches in total - but mainly preferred to spend time with friends, family; and enjoying various non-wrestling related things in general.

When he began to feel that his extended break from his passion had gone on long enough, it coincided with Pride resurfacing in early 2009. At the moment, he is apparently in the process of signing with the company.

Tornado is a Decepticon traitor in the Generation One continuity family.
DAMN YOU JACK SPARROOOOOWWW!!!

Tornado, who is absolutely not Windrazor, makes a living by betraying people, apparently. Once a professional saboteur, then a Decepticon rebel. Then dead.

Fiction

Marvel UK Comics continuity

Tornado, before the Great War, was a saboteur working for the city of Vos. He intended to bomb Tarn's power plant and pin it on Iacon, which would result in a war in after which Vos would grab all the power.

Unfortunately, this was not to be. A lowly power plant worker spotted the saboteurs and informed his superiors of their plan. For his trouble, Tornado killed the chump dead. But still, the plan didn't work. State Games

In short order, Tornado joined the Decepticons. In equally short order, he tried to rebel against the Decepticons. Given his choice of punishment, he opted for Trial By Combat, where he faced his former comrade Earthquake. Though boastful of his superior speed, he didn't make it out alive. In fact, neither of them did.

Watching this on a tape years later, Megatron thought that this would be a good way to rid himself of Starscream. The Enemy Within!
