A strong international focus, drawing on Oxford’s expertise in the fields of environmental science and sustainability

For those with, or considering a career in environmental conservation and management, urban and environmental planning, environmental consultancy, construction and property development, food production and commerce, government and regulation, wildlife conservation and evaluation or environmental education.

Flexible, part-time courses designed for busy professionals and delivered by experts from both the University of Oxford and partner organisations. The Environment and Sustainability Programme has a strong interdisciplinary and collaborative culture, reflecting the nature and subject matter of the courses. Coming from six continents, and with a diversity of backgrounds, many of our students go on to be “champions” within their chosen field, making considerable and valuable academic and practical contributions.

Field Techniques in Surveying Vegetation
Be one of the first to experience our new run of short courses in field survey techniques for 2011/12. Places are available for our 5-week course in Vegetation, running from 9 November - 14 December. Students may join on both an accredited (academic credit) and non-accredited basis. These modules will also be offered from 2012 as part of a Postgraduate Certificate in Ecological Survey Techniques.
