Wolverine trains a robot to box. That in a nutshell is the plot of Dreamworks' upcoming film Reel Steel, and that's plenty for us! Sure, Hugh Jackman is playing an ex-boxer in the film, but now when we see him in a movie we can't help but hope he'll end up popping some claws and going on a rampage. While Jakks Pacific hasn't released any news on toys of the human characters from the film, there are gonna be lots of robots and here are some pics and info straight from Jakks themselves!

Giggity.
That one word instantly brings to mind the animated series full of constant cutaways, creepy old men, homicidal toddlers, and greased up deaf guys: Family Guy. Playmates have recently announced their plans to produce an entire line of figures and playsets based on the Griffin family and their unsettling cohorts much in the same fashion as their previous (and incredibly successful) Simpsons line. The figures will interact with the playset and speak phrases from the show. Although, if Peter starts singing “Shipoopi” then we’re gonna toss that thing right out the window! Besides that peeve, we’re a-okay with the toyline. Read more...

Well, now thanks to the folks over at Stern, you can simplify the dangerous computer-based world by conquering their newest release: Tron Pinball! Not only that, but it features the incredibly awesome Daft Punk-produced score! We can’t think of anything else we’d rather be doing! In fact, we’re gonna just leave the rest of this article to the people at Stern – cause we’re headed to the local arcade. Yes, those still exist!
STERN ANNOUNCES TRON: LEGACY PINBALL MACHINE
May 11, 2011-In collaboration with Disney Consumer Products, Stern Pinball announces its next pinball game, released May 1, 2011, is inspired by Walt Disney Picture’s TRON: Legacy.
The TRON: Legacy Pinball features an incredible 3D backglass that brings the film’s characters and story to life. TRON: Legacy Pinball also features exciting sound bites from the film’s main characters, as well music from the film’s original score.
In TRON: Legacy Pinball, players battle as Sam Flynn on the Grid against Clu and Rinsler. Players will enjoy multi-ball rounds themed around scenes from the film: ride the two ramps for Light Cycle battles on different levels of the Grid; defeat the motorized Recognizer target bank to expose Rinsler’s spinning Identity Disc; or fire the ball from Rinsler’s Disc to simulate a Disc War. There are numerous play features for characters in the film, including Kevin Flynn, Gem, Zuse, Quorra and Clu. Play all features to escape the Grid through the Portal.
John Borg is the playfield designer and is known for creating recent hits. He is working side-by-side with the great design and engineering team at Stern Pinball. Pinball Hall of Fame artist John Youssi designed the art package and David Thiel engineered the sound.
Gary Stern, founder, CEO and chairman of Stern Pinball says, “We loved working with Disney on this great title. TRON: Legacy Pinball will be a great game for TRON: Legacy and pinball game fans alike.”

Posted 5/9/11 5:30 pm ET by MTV Geek in Bluewater Productions, Comic Books, Press Release, Previews
He's been in the news a lot lately, and now he's got his own Bluewater comic book! Political Power: Donald Trump is written by Jerome Maida and has a cover by Joe Phillips, will be released in October 2011 by Bluewater Productions. Take your first look at Political Power: Donald Trump, and then read on for more details!
He seems to be everywhere; on television, in book stores and most recently, elbowed his way into the current political morass. But whether he’s “firing” reality contestants, running a billion dollar corporation, picking fights with celebrities or toying with the idea of a presidential bid, Donald Trump’s larger than life persona has been captured for an upcoming Bluewater Productions biography comic.
“Political Power: Donald Trump,” scheduled for an October 2011 release, follows the polarizing life and career of the high-profile tycoon, presidential aspirant and media bon vivant.
“We’re trying to portray him less as a caricature and more as potential leader of the free world,” said Bluewater president Darren Davis on why Trump’s biography was being published via the “Political Power” brand. “Whether you agree with his political posturing or find him completely self-interested and insincere, he’s pulling up a chair at 2012 Republican presidential nomination table.”
Written by freelance journalist Jerome Maida, the 32-page Trump comic biography covers his transition from real-estate magnate who took over his successful father’s company to “The Donald,” the eponymous moniker that fuels tabloids, drives television ratings and relishes the spotlight.
"Trump may be egocentric, he may be a grandstander and a loudmouth, but there’s no denying he has the attention of America,” said Maida.
The issue, which will sport a cover from noted artist Joe Phillips, will retail for $3.99. It will be available through comic book shops and several online venues such as Amazon.com and the Barnes and Noble and Borders.
The “Political Power” series was launched earlier in 2009 as a companion piece to the successful “Female Force” biography title. The comic allowed Bluewater to delve into the lives and power and legacy of some of the most important and powerful political personalities of the past generation regardless of gender.

The hits just keep on coming with Gentle Giant Ltd.’s Star Wars and Marvel merchandise. This month, we mean that literally thanks to the info on their upcoming (not so) mini-bust of the Incredible Hulk! These fine collectibles are available for order, through your favorite comic shop, this month but won’t find their way onto your shelves until the Fall. Still, that female Stormtrooper statue is worth the wait!
Also, this month sees the continuation of G.G.'s tribute to the classic Kenner Star Wars line with the release of the Death Squad Commander in full 12 inch size. We love these toys, especially so thanks to the sweet blister card they arrive on.
Here’s all the info straight from our friends at Gentle Giant:

Kotobukiya is certainly not a company that likes to wait around! Hot on the heels of announcing their Ghostbuster Bishoujo statue, Kotobukiya has sent MTV Geek! info on the latest release in their Marvel Bishoujo line: Ms. Marvel Binary! While using the same basic sculpt as their previously shown Ms. Marvel statue, this one steps it up about nine-thousand notches with addition of tons and tons of translucent fire! Here are all the details along with some snazzy pics, straight from Kotobukiya themselves:
MARVEL BISHOUJO COLLECTION MS. MARVEL BINARY VER. BISHOUJO STATUE
A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The popular Marvel Bishoujo collection (combining iconic superheroines and villains with traditional Japanese stylings) continues to bring you the amazing beauties of the Marvel Comics universe as you’ve never seen them before. Next up in this line is a stunning new variant on an existing heroine, MS. MARVEL BINARY VERSION! With a long history stretching back to the 1960s, Carol Danvers gained superhuman powers from an alien explosion, leading to her costumed identity as Ms. Marvel. After losing her powers for a time, Danvers gained a whole new array of abilities and a new look when she drew upon a white hole’s energy. With her new identity as Binary she would have many adventures on Earth and beyond, later returning to her Ms. Marvel persona. Based on the first Ms. Marvel Bishoujo Statue, Binary appears in the Japanese Bishoujo (pretty girl) style based on an original character reinterpretation by illustrator Shunya Yamashita.

As geeks, our fictional worlds are filled with brightly-colored heroes that swoop in to save the day when tragedy strikes. However, in this reality it’s up to us to lend a helping hand to those affected by natural disasters and circumstance. Our friends at Kotobukiya, makers of some of the finest comic and film-based statues around, are stepping up (with your help) to send some aid to the victims of the recent tragedy in Japan.
Here’s all the info and links for Kotobukiya’s planned charity auctions:
On March 11th 2011, a 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck near the East Coast of Honshu, the largest quake in Japan’s recorded history. Followed shortly thereafter by a series of ravenous tsunami waves, this catastrophe is expected to rank amongst the costliest of natural disasters with a vast number of people displaced from their homes and separated from their loved ones.
To assist in emergency relief efforts, Kotobukiya will be offering a series of charitable eBay auctions during the month of March. A selection of collectible items will be made available for bidding, many of which have been graciously signed by top industry talents. 100% of all final auction proceeds will go to the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund spearheaded by GlobalGiving.
With your support we can make a difference in the recovery process!

When you hear the word “sexy”, what’s the first image that pops into your head? Ghostbusters, right? No? Well why not?! Are you saying that a bunch of middle-aged guys dressed in flightsuits and spewing witty banter doesn’t get your heart pumping?! Okay, well, now that we think about it… you’re right! In fact, between the constant ass-kickings and random slimings, being a Ghostbuster isn’t exactly the most glamorous of fictional professions. However, Kotobukiya is here to shed a different light on our favorite paranormal investigators with the latest statue in their Bishoujo line – Lucy!
We here at MTV Geek! were stunned by how well this turned out, and now we’re hoping for more statues from our favorite movies to be released! For now, here’s all the info (and a bunch of pics) of Lucy:
A Kotobukiya Japanese import! The Ghostbusters, New York’s very own paranormal investigators, are back in the headlines and this time around they have a new recruit, Lucy. This Ghostbuster-in-training is determined not to let any spook, specter or ghost get past her and she has the equipment to back her up. Outfitted in Egon Spengler’s proprietary Proton Pack and Ecto Goggles, she is truly a slime-eradicating force to be reckoned with!
