Anyone who works with a computer all day knows how frustrating they can be. Sometimes they just don’t listen and we have to give them a little shake to make sure they know who’s boss. Usually it doesn’t usually help the situation, but the "Shake To Undo" app for Mac OS X makes shaking your MacBook a great way to relieve some stress and undo those last few mistakes. Read more...

Thanks to apps from companies like comiXology and Graphic.ly, digital comic books are pretty easy to find on our Apple devices, but doesn’t Apple have their own digital bookstore? Why can’t we just by comics through there? We’ve been wondering for quite some time and now the wait is over. As of today IDW has become the first major publisher to offer digital graphic novels through Apple iBooks!
Based on the initial lineup of comic books available from IDW it seems like they may be limiting their iBooks presence to trade paperbacks and avoiding the single issues, which is completely fine with us -- iBooks doesn’t have much in the way of organization and a bunch of single issues could get sloppy. After convincing several networks to offer $.99 television episode rentals last year, Apple quietly ditched iTunes TV show rentals all together last Friday. Now users will only have the option to purchase single episodes or a “season pass” for their favorite shows. Read more...
After co-founding Apple in 1976, getting pushed out in 1985 and coming back in 1996 to introduce the world to the iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad, Steve Jobs has announced his resignation as Apple’s CEO. Tim Cook will take his place and Jobs will serve as Chairman of the Board, effective immediately.
The timing of the announcement may come as a surprise, but it’s no secret that Jobs has been dealing with health problems recently and even had to take time away from Apple to undergo surgery. A brief resignation letter published by Steve Jobs can be seen below. Read more...

Last week an image of a Starbucks “Pick of The Week” app popped up at CNET making us wonder what new plans Apple and the coffee chain had for the long-running program. Now, Starbucks has officially spilled the beans and we couldn’t be happier about the news.
Beginning Tuesday, August 23rd Starbucks will add not only apps to their Pick of The Week offering, but TV shows and “extended samples” of books from the iBookstore, in addition to the free music they’ve been handing out since 2008. Read more...

Seems like Starbucks has been doing a lot to get our geeky attention lately. First they made Marvel Digital Unlimited titles available for free when you log onto the store’s Wi-Fi connection and then they came out with an iPhone app you can use to pay for your drinks. Their “Pick of the Week” program has been giving us free tracks from iTunes since 2008 and now it looks like the coffee chain is giving away free apps as part of the program! Read more...

Back in June Apple’s head honcho, Steve Jobs, made a surprise visit to the Cupertino City Council where he revealed plans for the construction of a new Apple HQ. The current situation has Apple employees spread out in rented office space and the new building would bring them together in a centralized campus. Now, new renders of the proposed headquarters have been released -- yea, aside from all the foliage it still reminds me of Tatooine spaceport. Read more...
Unlicensed Steve Jobs figures and collectibles aren’t anything new. We’ve seen the cease & desist notices fly out of Apple’s legal offices on more than one occasion, but it doesn’t look like people are going to stop making them anytime soon.
According to ToyHaven, there’s a new Steve Jobs figure on the way. It will come with a bunch of accessories like an iMac, Magic Trackpad and iPad 2. The supposed 1/6 scale figure will be priced at $160 so Apple fans feel right at home when the buy it, and his outfit (down to the New balance 992 shoes) looks pretty darn accurate. You can head on past the break for more photos. Read more...
