Earlier this year, at CES 2011, we were lucky enough to play with the coolest smartphone accessory ever, Sphero. Up until this point the only Spheros we’ve seen were prototypes and honestly didn’t look that good. Now Orbotix has revealed the final design along with some other goodies for those of us anxious to get our hands on Sphero. Read more...

Typically reserved for circus acts and clowns, unicycles have always intrigued us. Admittedly we probably wouldn't ever rush out to try riding one, but the curiosity has always been there. Personal transportation like the Solowheel only make the idea more interesting and a new electric unicycle from Ryno Motors is exactly what we’ve been looking for. Read more...
R2D2?! Nevermind it’s not R2, but it sure does look like him doesn’t it? It’s definitely the closest thing we’ve got to a real-life R2D2 and the best part is this crazy little medical robot may be spending some time with you next time you have to visit the doctor’s office. YAY! Robot nurses! Read more...

The brave souls of the Gotham City Police Department are usually the ones to set off the Bat Signal when nut jobs out of Arkham start raising hell, but wouldn’t it be safer for everyone if they had their own personal Bat Signal?

It's shaped just like the Batarangs we saw in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight and I would have to imagine just the presence of such a device would send shivers down the spine of any would-be criminal. I really wasn't expecting limited edition True Blood headphones to roll into my inbox yesterday evening, but here they are.I'll admit they look pretty slick, but I don’t think slapping True Blood on the side is enough for me to drop the $150 needed to bring them home. So what else is V-MODA bringing to the table with these blood-sucking noise makers? Quite a bit actually. Read more...

Anyone who works with a computer all day knows how frustrating they can be. Sometimes they just don’t listen and we have to give them a little shake to make sure they know who’s boss. Usually it doesn’t usually help the situation, but the "Shake To Undo" app for Mac OS X makes shaking your MacBook a great way to relieve some stress and undo those last few mistakes. Read more...

Netflix customers may have had a frustrating Labor Day weekend as it seemed they had added new restrictions to their Instant Streaming service. Netflix has always asked Instant Streaming customers to limit the amount of devices they stream content on simultaneously, but those limitations had never really been enforced -- until now.
Before the new restrictions took effect users could easily stream a movie on their Xbox 360 in one room and, let’s say, their PC in another room at the same time. Over the recent holiday weekend it seemed as if Netflix was limiting streaming-only customers to one stream at a time, but that was apparently an unexpected error. Read more...

On August 12th electrical/aerospace engineer and helicopter pilot Pascal Chretien took to the sky in the world’s first untethered, fully-electric manned helicopter flight. The prototype machine flew for a short, yet impressive 2 minute and 10 second flight and beat out helicopter powerhouse Sikorsky for the record.
The helicopter, seen in the photos, was designed and built almost entirely by Chretien himself over the course of about 12 months with financial backing from French company Solution F. But getting an electric helicopter off the ground was no easy task. Read more...
