The Clone Wars Season 4 premieres NEXT Friday September 16th at 8pm on the Cartoon Network! MTV Geek was lucky enough to score an EXCLUSIVE CLIP to share with all our fellow geeks out there!
When the King of Mon Calamari is assassinated, talks break down between the Mon Cala and the Quarren, co-inhabitants of the world. To try and stop a civil war, the Republic sends in the Jedi but unbeknownst to them, the Quarren are already backed by the Separatists (lead by the shark-inspired Riff Tamson). Now the Jedi must protect Mon Cala's new leader, the young Prince Lee-Char, from the attack.
And here is our EXCLUSIVE CLIP "Water War:"
And just as another tease, here's another "Water War" clip:
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (8 p.m. ET/PT) –In the first two episodes of this three-part story arc, the inhabitants of the watery world of Mon Calamari find themselves on the brink of a civil war. The Jedi soon realize they will need the help of a powerful and amphibious ally to stop the war and drive out the Separatist invaders.

The Force is strong with me for a Monday morning as I was able to score an EXCLUSIVE CLIP with over FIVE MINUTES of movie clips, footage and interviews for the new book coming out Star Wars: The Blueprints.
From TheBlueprintsBook.com...
Star Wars: The Blueprints brings together, for the first time, the original blueprints created for the filming of the Star Wars Saga. Drawn from deep within the Lucasfilm Archives and combined with exhaustive and insightful commentary from best-selling author J. W. Rinzler, the collection maps in precise, vivid, and intricate detail the very genesis of the most enduring and beloved story ever to appear onscreen.
Star Wars: The Blueprints gives voice to the groundbreaking and brilliant engineers, designers, and artists that have, in film after film, created the most imaginative and iconic locales in the history of cinema. Melding science and art, these drawings giving birth to fantastic new worlds, ships, and creatures.
The clip also features interviews with Lucasfilm's Howard Roffman, J.W. Rinzler, Dennis Muren, and personal friend Lorne Petersen! I previewed this book at San Diego Comic-Con and it is a beautiful book and will only be sold in limited quantities!

Ever since Wizards of the Coast announced early last year that they would not be renewing the Star Wars hobby gaming license, gamers have been wondering what company would pick up the torch. Now we know the answer: Fantasy Flight Games, the publisher best known for high-quality game components and detailed miniature sculpts. It's as if millions of geek's wallets suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly emptied.
As a publisher of board, card, roleplaying, and miniatures combat games, Fantasy Flight will have no shortage of options to develop Star Wars games around. Two titles have already been announced, Star Wars: The Card Game and X-Wing, but many more will follow. Excitement is high for these and future titles primarily because Fantasy Flight has proven time and time again that they know how to handle a license. In the past, they've published well-received games themed around Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, Doom, StarCraft, Conan, and more.

So I'm sitting here at the Clone Wars San Diego Comic-Con panel, post-MTV Geek video interviews with Dave Filoni, Joel Aron, Dee Bradley Baker and Ashley Eckstein and on a HUGE CLONE WARS HIGH!!! I even got to sneak into the Clone Wars panel with the crew and I'm sitting next to the vfx supervisor Joel Aron, someone I've known for 18 years from our ILM days together! BEST DAY EVAH!!
I just attended The Clone Wars Season 4 Preview Panel at San Diego's Comic Con was moderated by Lucasfilm's Pablo Hidalgo with supervising director Dave Filoni and producer Cary Silver.
I don't know if you've ever seen Dave talk, but he's incredibly charismatic and the crowd loves him! Dave just did his best Captain Ackbar "It's a trap!" impression and the crowd went crazy!

Happy Fourth of July weekend everyone! I'm pretty sure I'm the only one working at MTV today, but alas, it gives me time to tell you all about my new C-3P0 backpack I recently got from Think Geek! This backpack is so fun and amazing, I can't even begin to tell you!!
Last week, C-3P0 and I had the chance to spend a splendid day together -- working, shopping, and hanging out in Times Square!! What I love about this backpack, besides the fact that everyone gets a HUGE SMILE when they see you wearing it on the street, is that it's not just a prop, C-3P0 unzips and acts as a backpack itself...NO JOKE!! C-3P0's limbs are attached by velcro so you can assemble or rip him apart as needed. His eyes light up too, adding to the authenticity of it all!! I couldn't help but imagine myself as Chewie, running through the white hallways of Bespin City, dodging Stormtropper laserbeams as I rush to the Millenium Falcon...I mean, you would too, RIGHT???
