So have I ever mentioned that I have a girl crush on Ashley Eckstein? You know, the founder of Her Universe and voice of Ahsoka Tano on Clone Wars?? She is just so frakking adorable, nice, cute and when I stand next to her, I look like I'm six months pregnant! WTF??? Ok enough, anyway, Her Universe is debuting all new holiday products this Monday November 28th!!

In addition to presenting assorted new Geek Girl pieces to the Her Universe product line, Eckstein is offering a FREE Limited Edition Star Wars holiday pin of everyone's favorite Jedi Master, Yoda. For the first 500 orders placed on heruniverse.com shoppers will receive this pin along with a signed card from Eckstein, herself. For orders of $40.00 or more, heruniverse.com customers will receive FREE SHIPPING as well.

Available for the first time this holiday season is a new thermal hoodie design with original art by Star Wars artist, Cat Staggs. Also from the beloved Star Wars franchise is a regal sterling silver plated Jedi charm to add to the already popular Star Wars charm bracelet. For Syfy, Eckstein has created several new products for their television shows including a Battlestar Galactica pajama set and a stunning, sterling silver plated Battlestar Galactica necklace featuring Admiral Adama's senior pilot wings. For followers of Warehouse 13, Eckstein has produced an ultra-soft WH 13 logo burnout tee so you can imagine you're a Warehouse agent seeking supernatural artifacts while you "snag it, bag it and tag it." As a fan of the Syfy series, Eureka, Eckstein has created a useful holiday tote bag featuring the cast of Eureka in animated form with exclusive art from the holiday episode of this fan favorite show. All of these new items will be available to order on the Her Universe website starting on November 28th.

Ok I speak for myself when I say the hoodie has me written all over it!! How damn cute is that? And how true? Yikes..

Ok time to start shopping for my fellow chick Jedis!

I've been back from Comic-Con just one week and still haven't caught up on all my coverage! While at Comic-Con I was lucky enough to interview some of the fabulous crew from Star Wars: Clone Wars!! As you know, Season 4 is coming out this Fall and the Force was with me as I got to chat with Dave Filoni, Joel Aron, Ashley Eckstein and Dee Bradley Baker about what's next for Anakin, Ahsoka, and the Clones!

First up is Supervising Director, Dave Filoni. Dave's a totally awesome dude and I met him last year at Star Wars Celebration. He is super excited about the next season and talks about Anakin, genius animation of the show and what the fans can expect in the latest season. Oh and you also will find out if he lets me try on his signature cowboy hat!

Ok, so Joel Aron, the Visual Effects Supervisor has been a great friend to me for, gulp, 18 YEARS! We met while working at ILM together! Joel made the jump from live action to fully-animated series on The Clone Wars. He is just so talented and talked me about all the hard work that goes behind the scenes in creating the series and how passionate he is about it all - "cinematic, poetic and stunning" are the 3 words he uses to describe Season 4.

Her Universe: What Women Want in Their Female Sci-Fi Heroes— In the early days of sci-fi, female characters were the designated damsels in distress. Thankfully, today a new generation of creative minds are molding the strong, intelligent, and powerful female roles we see in some sci-fi films, TV shows, comics and other media. What are the differences between past sci-fi adventures with female characters and today's feminine heroes that women can really connect with? How do you create truly interesting and unique female characters in the sci-fi universe? How are they different from their male counterparts? Read more...

So if you are as big a Clone Wars fan as I am, you CERTAINLY know who the incredible Ashley Eckstein is! Not only does she play the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: Clone Wars, but Ashley also created her own line of fangirl merchandise last year called Her Universe. Ashley saw the need for sci-fi gear that wasn't just made for boys. I bought her Star Wars hoodie and practically sleep in it every night!!

If you're going to be at San Diego's Comic Con next week, you'll be able to check out Ashley and HER UNIVERSE as they premiere it's all-new SyFy branded line, including merchandise from Battlestar Galactica, Warehouse 13 and "Syfy's Original Movies." I am also a HUGE Battlestar Galactica and cannot wait to get my hot little hands on her stuff!!! Included in the launch are shirts, a sweatshirt and jewelry “designed in part by women for women,” which will also be available online.

“I am so excited to be partnering with Syfy as they are a television destination for millions of fangirls,” said Ashley Eckstein. “As women, we are passionate about our favorite shows and characters and we want to show off that passion by the items we wear. Now, just like Star Wars, all of the female Syfy fans will have some feminine and fashionable pieces made just for them.”

HER UNIVERSE is also offering two popular Star Wars designs in children’s sizes for younger fangirls too! Ashley knows how to take care of us girls!!!

Also don't miss the HER UNIVERSE-sponsored special panel at Comic-Con featuring a group of distinguished panelists from film, television, comics and publishing. This year’s topic, “What Women Want in Their Sci-Fi Heroes,” is hosted by Eckstein and is scheduled for Thursday, July 21st from 6pm to 7pm in room 25ABC.

Come find WOODSY if you're gonna be there!!
