Skottie Young may be better known for his art than his writing, but the award winning creator has been steadily working his way onto the other side of the desk, with short Spider-Man and X-Men stories for Marvel. Now, Young will be getting his first series with Magneto: Not a Hero, a four issue mini-series that will redefine how one of the most popular villains operates in the Marvel Universe. To find out more, we chatted with Young and artist Clay Mann about the series… And why you won’t be seeing ‘90s mainstay Maggott appearing:
After a measly 544(!) issues, the legendary X-Men title, The Uncanny X-Men reaches its conclusion (until the title's relaunch!)! How will it all go down? Don't know yet! But we've a preview to whet your little appetites!

Just like us regular people, superheroes (and sometimes villains) can’t skip out on school. Sure they have to learn how to hit, but they also have to learn how to hit the books. Here are ten of the best (and worst) schools in comic books, ever:
Nick Spencer and Joe Eisma’s Image comic Morning Glories may be excellent, but attending their Morning Glory Academy would be a deadly affair. Whether it’s insane ghost creatures wandering the halls, some sort of spinning construct below the floors, or the frequent death traps the students are caught in, going to class at MGA is challenging on both a physical and mental level. It’s Wednesday again (I know, right?), so it means its time for new comic books! Hooray! Get rid of those old comic books, they’re stale and musty you guys.
Anyway, it’s a lighter week for us, with a few stand-outs. Right at the top of our pull list is DAREDEVIL #2. The first issue got our coveted pick of the month, and for good reason: it’s a beautiful, extremely well written book that reeks of brilliance from top to bottom. If the second issue is half as good… Well, it won’t be as good. But it’ll still be one of the best comics ever made, and we don’t expect writer Mark Waid and friends to let us down. Oh, and if you missed the first issue? Waid a few of Marvel’s editors cleverly recorded an audio version of the book, which you can download for free. That’s awesome.

At San Diego Comic Con, Hasbro has once again released a massive figure in their, usually much smaller, Marvel Universe line. While last year brought us the Eater of Worlds known as Galactus, while this year fans were lucky enough to be offered the mutant-hunting automaton-- The Sentinel! These genocidal robots have been around for years in the Marvel Comics' universe, and have recently upped their appearances thanks to the latest X-Men: Schism storyline. Seems like perfect time for a toy, right?
