Diamond Select Toys spews out Minimates at an incredibly rapid pace to keep collector's appetites satiated. They are almost ready to release Wave 42 from their Marvel Comics lineup, with the Toys "R" Us exclusive waves catching up with number 12. What does that mean? It means you can get characters like the Kronan Stone Man and Arnim Zola (our favorite tv screen-chested scientist), that's what! Check out these photos of the packaged figures (featuring the new window box) and some info from our pals at DST.

A Minimate Galactus with a minuscule Silver Surfer flying over his shoulder? Yes, please! This is but one of four figures that are available soon in the Toys "R" Us-Exclusive Heralds of Galactus box set from Diamond Select Toys freakishly popular Minimates line. Fans voted through an online poll for the toys to be included in this set, so if you voted then we suppose you're obligated to buy one. Bring the Devourer of Worlds home and set him on your shelf where he can look cute--and plot the eventual demise of the universe. Read more...

2011's New York Comic-Con is coming up fast. From October 13 through 16 we will be bringing you a ridiculous amount of coverage, which will include anything and everything about toys! Diamond Select Toys will have plenty of newsworthy goodies to the show including four different exclusive releases from their Femme Fatales, Minimates, and all-new Maximum Zombies lines!
Diamond Select Toys likes to think of its convention appearances as one long goodwill tour of America, bringing sneak peeks of its products and new, exclusive toys to different parts of the country. And this year's journey, having already stretched from Chicago's C2E2 to San Diego's Comic-Con, is now coming to an end in New York City, at the 2011 New York Comic-Con! Taking place at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan from October 13-16, the convention is the East Coast's biggest pop-culture gathering, and in addition to their famous Minimates panel (2:45 on Saturday, in Room 1A15), this year will be the home to four very cool exclusive DST products, including the two great Marvel Comics products and the first offerings from a brand-new line of Minimates!

The God of Thunder has made his way back into our toy collections and stands proudly at the towering height of two inches! Yes, we’re talking about Diamond Select Toys’ Thor Minimates! These are based on the recent film incarnation of the Odinson and the set includes some of the major players. Mercifully, there isn’t one based on Natalie Portman and her character’s poor driving skills.

The selection of Diamond Select Toys’ Minimates is almost as vast as the Marvel Universe from which they get their inspiration. At the rate they keep releasing these little bundles of badass, we’ll be seeing characters like Impossible Man and Slapstick! The newest sets are Wave 41 and the 11th Toys R’ Us Wave. We bet the DST offices are awash in tiny, plastic hairpieces. We just know it!

Disney’s merger at Marvel means one thing for toy fans: now when you’re with your kids at the mall, you can find some toys for yourselves in that ever-so-brightly-lit store of wonder! We recently posted a preview of the Marvel Select Hawkeye figure, and now Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum are bringing out a Disney Store-exclusive set of Minimates! Yep, the main characters of the new FF comic are packaged together and will be sharing shelf space with the likes of Cinderella and Buzz Lightyear! They’ll debut during San Diego Comic Con at the local Disney Store location, so they’re kind of an SDCC exclusive as well… in a manner of thinking.

Thor. Minimates. Exclusive. Those three lazy sentences should be more than enough to get your attention. San Diego Comic Con has brought forth yet another toy exclusive, this time as a co-op between Diamond Select Toys and Action Figure Xpress! The set consists of Thor, Loki, Beta Ray Bill, and Sif in all their 2” glory! At this rate, we're gonna be flat broke after just day one of the big show!
