How about this for range: in a matter of a couple of weeks, NPH will have been both a singing prince made of bubblegum and a singing evil dolphin menacing a bunch of penguins. Brando never got to be both a dolphin and a prince in less than a month.
Anyway, this Friday, the man who was the glue that held the Harold and Kumar franchise together will be reprising his role as the evil Dr. Blowhole in an hour-long special on Nickelodeon. And since the Broadway star can't go anywhere without belting out a tune, Harris will be lending his singing pipes to the episode, which sees the combat-ready penguins face off against their nemesis, the dolphin doc.
Precisely where does a dolphin get his degree, anyway? And in what field of study?
Here's the official synopsis:
In the special, Skipper arrives in Shanghai on a super secret solo mission that leads him waddling right into a Dr. Blowhole trap. Without his men, who are back at the zoo, he is helpless and his memory gets wiped away by Blowhole’s “Mind-Jacker.” Blowhole’s despicable plan uses Skipper’s memories to locate Kowalski, Private and Rico, blast them with his “Diabologizer,” and render them evil monsters who destroy their headquarters. The lyrics from the special—which includes six original songs—were written by series executive producers Robert Schooley and Mark McCorkle and composed by Adam Berry, who recently won a Daytime Emmy Award for his work on the series.

Hasbro and IDW team up to bring the venerable collectable card game even more story.
Respectfully, we told you this all the way back during SDCC. But for those of you who didn't take a look at our pretty exhaustive SDCC coverage back in July, this Fall, IDW will be bringing you stories set in the universe of the card game that continues to maintain its popularity (contrary to the snarky belief of certain Gizmodo bloggerettes who will remain un-linked here). I know a lot of game developers (and just regular fans) who really get into the deep mechanics behind Magic, so I can see why Hasbro/Wizards of the West Coast and IDW decided that this is the right move for the property.
