When IDW scored the publishing rights for Hasbro's Transformers comics, they definitely made the most of it. Not only have they built up a cohesive timeline of their own Autobots and Decepticon history, but are about to have their 125th issue on the shelves! To mark this occasion, what better way to celebrate than by killing off the leader and most recognizeable Autobot of them all: Optimus Prime? Granted, this is but one of the many, many deaths he's had throughout his storied multi-media career, but it's shaping up to be one of the most epic. It comes at the conclusion of the current Chaos storyline that has been runnign through the Transformers ongoing comic and we can't wait to see how it all goes down! Here's some info, along with some cover art previews straight from our friends at IDW Publishing:

Do you like Transformers? How about old-school gaming? Well, if you answered "yes" to both of those, and happen to have several grand in cash lying around in a coffee can, then you're gonna want to check out the latest pinball machine from Stern Pinball: Transformers! No word on if this thing will turn into a robot and trash your house/urinate oil on you or if it's filled with Bay-esque explosions, but it looks like a ton of fun regardless.

2011's New York Comic-Con is coming up fast. From October 13 through 16 we will be bringing you a ridiculous amount of coverage, which will include anything and everything about toys! Diamond Select Toys will have plenty of newsworthy goodies to the show including four different exclusive releases from their Femme Fatales, Minimates, and all-new Maximum Zombies lines!
Diamond Select Toys likes to think of its convention appearances as one long goodwill tour of America, bringing sneak peeks of its products and new, exclusive toys to different parts of the country. And this year's journey, having already stretched from Chicago's C2E2 to San Diego's Comic-Con, is now coming to an end in New York City, at the 2011 New York Comic-Con! Taking place at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan from October 13-16, the convention is the East Coast's biggest pop-culture gathering, and in addition to their famous Minimates panel (2:45 on Saturday, in Room 1A15), this year will be the home to four very cool exclusive DST products, including the two great Marvel Comics products and the first offerings from a brand-new line of Minimates!

Back in the 80s, when a movie was rated "R" you knew it was for a good reason. One of the best films we managed to sneak our way into during that wonderful decade was Robocop. Why was it rated R? Cause there's a scene in which Officer Murphy gets shot about a billion friggin' times in full frame, that's why! The image of his hand bursting to meat and crimson splatter was burned into our brains as the epitome of Hollywood violence. Then, Kenner brought out a toyline for children. Don't kid yourselves, the 1980s were awesome! Now, a little of that nostalgia has found its way back into our hands in the form of NECA Toys' latest release in their Reel Toys line: Robocop! Is he as cool as the baby-food-eatin' crime stopper we remember? Well, keep reading!

Finally, Young Justice is about to start airing new episodes on Cartoon Network! It's been far too long since Aqualad, Robin, Artemis, and the rest of the team have been on our screens, fighting evil and whining about the hardships of growing up...or being a clone.
"Targets" is the latest episode and sees a peace agreement between North and South Korea Rhelasia being brokered by none other than Lex Luthor. However, a couple of hired assassins have other plans in mind with only Red Arrow reluctantly standing between them and Lex's bald visage. Also, Miss Martian and Superboy go to their first day of school. Yep.

There are quite a few surprises during this episode, beginning with the opening teaser featuring another DC icon. Join us as we review tonight's episode of Batman: The Brave & The Bold.
In this episode, Batman mops up crime in Coast City while Hal Jordan tests out his new Ferris Air-built vehicles. During some encounters with Green Lantern-related supervillains, the Star Sapphire shows up to cause trouble for the team of Batman and Hal Jordan. Hilarity and violence ensue.
Below are some random notes we made while watching the show:

Just when we think we're through with the JLU line of action figures, Mattel keeps pulling us back in! This time it's thanks to a couple of exclusive 3 packs from their collector-based Matty Collector website. Both the original JSA and fan-favorites are represented as the line winds down for the last time. However, are these guys worth your time and money? Read on to see what we think.

Young Justice is about to start it's new season very soon on Cartoon Network, and we are very excited to see what's coming up. In our opinion, YJ is second only to ThunderCats when it comes to current American animated series, and takes top spot over previous beloved DC animated shows (Scream at us in the comments section JLU fans!). The character interactions, dynamic stories, and big-name guest appearances have made Young Justice into a show that is not to be missed. In honor of the upcoming season, we've put together some of our videos from this year's San Diego Comic Con to satiate your appetites of teens in tights. Wait, that sounded creepier than we meant it to...
