http://cds.aas.duke.edu
The Center for Documentary Studies, founded in 1989 at Duke University, offers an interdisciplinary program of instruction, production and presentation in the documentary arts — photography, film/video, narrative writing, audio and other creative media. Much more than a traditional educational center, CDS encourages experiential learning in diverse environments outside the classroom, with an emphasis on the role of individual artistic expression in advancing broader societal goals.

EbzB Productions celebrates the profound impact of storytelling through theatre in a repertoire of simple and compelling productions, flexibly designed for easy touring to all types of performance spaces.

EbzB's work is created in the belief that theatre influences and encourages a life to be positively transformed through discoveries unveiled — immediately or over time. EbzB artists are also dedicated to the promotion of dramatic art as a valuable tool for all individuals. The professional teaching artists of EbzB Productions are available to teach students, coach professionals and develop commissioned productions to topic. EbzB Productions' performing artists are trained in The John F. Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts "Artists as Educators: Planning Effective Workshops" and The Lincoln Center Institute's International Educator Program. EbzB is qualified to facilitate audience discussions, artist development, arts administration & arts advocacy programs.

North Carolina Arts Council
www.NCARTS.org
North Carolina had long been recognized for rich traditions in crafts, literature, historical drama, and music when, by executive order in 1964, Governor Terry Sanford created the North Carolina Arts Council to strengthen North Carolina's creativity, invention and prosperity.

The NC Arts Council:

  • promotes excellence in its many forms of artistic expression.
  • supports the exemplary artists and organizations that make up the state's robust arts industry.
  • puts artists in the classroom to enhance student learning.
  • expands the range of opportunities for North Carolinians to experience the arts.

“During the past quarter century, literally thousands of school-based programs have demonstrated beyond question that the arts can not only bring coherence to our fragmented academic world, but through the arts, students’ performance in other academic disciplines can be enhanced as well.” — Ernest L. Boyer, former president of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching

United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County
http://www.unitedarts.org
