The Sheelin Antique Irish Lace Museum is located in the scenic village of Bellanaleck in Fermanagh's Lakelands. The Museum traces the history of Lace-making in Ireland, and conveys to the visitor the importance of the industry to Ireland as a whole and to Irish women in particular. Visitors have the opportunity to take a tour of the museum and purchase items of antique lace from the museum shop.
The Sheelin Antique Irish Lace Museum houses exquisite vintage items dating from 1890-1920. Items on display include several wedding dresses, wedding veils, shawls, parasols, collars, bonnets, christening gowns.
The award winning lace museum has over 700 exhibits and the Sheelin Lace shop offers many beautiful antique lace items including dresses, bodices, stoles, handkerchiefs, collars and doilies. As well as vintage beaded items such as bags, jackets and dresses.
