Knight-Wallace Donors

The fellowship is named for the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and Mike Wallace, former 60 Minutes correspondent and University of Michigan alumnus.

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to journalism excellence and transformation. Major supporter of the program for many years, their contributions have included endowments in business, law, medicine and education fellowships.

Legendary newsman Mike Wallace has been an enthusiastic and generous supporter of the Knight-Wallace program, endowing an investigative reporting fellowship and donating an additional $1 million for the program. But perhaps most precious to the Knight-Wallace Fellows is the gift Wallace and his wife Mary bestowed upon the program in 1992: the beautiful Tudor home that serves as the heart of the Fellowship.
