The Itinerary

Friday: The duke and duchess arrive at Los Angeles International Airport in the late afternoon, where they will be greeted by Gov. Jerry Brown, his wife, Anne Gust Brown, and Sir Nigel Sheinwald, the British ambassador to the United States. They will then attend a reception at the consul-general's residence in Hancock Park.

Saturday: The duke and duchess travel to Carpinteria, where William will compete in a charity polo match at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club. They will then return to Los Angeles to attend the inaugural "BAFTA Brits to Watch" event at the historic downtown Belasco Theater.

Sunday: The couple will spend the morning at a private event supporting Tusk USA, a group that focuses on conservation in Africa and of which the duke is the royal patron. They will visit Inner-City Arts, an outreach program for children on downtown's skid row, and then Sony Studios in Culver City, where they will attend a job fair for veterans.
