Minister to Children Cindy Russell - Minister to Children Cindy was born in Clarksville, Tennessee and grew up in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Her family was active in church, providing her the chance to grow as a Christian through missions, music and education programs of her home church. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Murray State University and a Master's Degree in Education from Alabama A&M University. Cindy has been a member of First Baptist Church since 1983. She has served as Minister of Children since April 2000. Before serving on church staff, she has served in Sunday School, Discipleship Training, Children's Choir, Vacation Bible School, Children's Camp and many other aspects of Childhood Ministries. Her husband Mark, is a veterinarian and owner of Whitesburg Animal Hospital. They have three children, Katherine (1986), Matthew (1987), and John Mark (1992). In her free time, Cindy enjoys reading, playing piano, boating and spending time with her family.
