Murder charges have been filed against a 71-year-old Seattle man accused of a 1957 slaying of a girl he allegedly abducted from DeKalb County, officials said Friday. Maria's brother, Charles Ridulph, spoke briefly: "My sisters and I are shocked. We have to re-live this now." Two people were injured late Friday afternoon when they were struck in a crosswalk by a vehicle being driven in the wrong direction on Michigan Avenue, officials said. The day got hotter for about 120 animals at a South Side animal shelter after thieves made off with two of the facility's air conditioning units. |
