Boy dies after being pulled from harbor

A 5-year-old boy died after he was rescued from the Jackson Park Yacht Harbor on the South Side, officials said. The child was on the dock with his parents when he fell in the water.

A wet week on the horizon

It looks like a wet week ahead. Scattered thunderstorms were moving through the area this morning, and some of them may produce damaging gusty winds in excess of 60 mph, nickle-size hail, cloud-to-ground lightning and brief torrential downpours.;
