This year's Honfest will be at least one beehive short: Charlene Osborne, crowned Baltimore's Best Hon two years ago, is among those who have pledged to boycott the annual festival over what they consider the co-opting of a Baltimore institution: the fabled hon. "I'm not going to go burn my beehive or anything," she says, "but … the whole festival has lost its charm for me."
A decade before the Orioles selected high school right-hander Dylan Bundy with the fourth pick in the 2011 amateur draft, he was a stocky 8-year-old kid growing up Sperry, Okla. Playing on a field he helped forge from dirt on his family's land, Bundy's work ethic and bravado were evident early on. His baseball ability, however, took a bit longer to emerge.
