As the Talent Coordinator for Chicago Live! I have the distinct pleasure of booking all of the amazing guests we have on the show. After booking a person on Chicago Live! I coordinate all of the pertinent details with them regarding their appearance on the show. On show days I make sure the guests arrive on time and feel comfortable with their segments. My job is very exciting as I have the opportunity to meet and get to know some of Chicago's most interesting people.

Lauren Himel, a native of Evanston, Illinois graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2005 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. After graduation, Lauren moved back to Chicago to pursue a career in television producing and editing. For nearly five years she worked as the lead producer/editor at Giant Productions, a small production company specializing in producing sports content for a variety of networks. Most notably, Lauren has produced and edited more than 30 titles for the Big Ten Network featuring some of the most well-known figures and stories of the Big Ten conference. She has also produced several A&E; Biography titles, a national Chevrolet commercial featuring Brad Paisley plus dozens of non-fiction program titles, commercials, webisodes and company sizzle videos. In her new role as Talent Coordinator for Chicago Live!, Lauren books all of the guests that appear on the Chicago Tribune and The Second City's weekly stage and radio show.
