Framingham High School has launched a Facebook page for its upcoming 20th anniversary celebration.

The Hopkinton Education Foundation held its annual golf ball drop on  Friday, June 10, the event delayed a day because of threatening weather on Thursday. About 900 numbered golf balls, the number of tickets sold, were dropped from a crane onto the high school athletic field and the ticket holder with the number matching the ball falling into or closest to a hole on the field won $1,000. The ticket holder matching the number falling furthest from the hole won $100.

First class graduates from Advanced Math and Science Academy

The first batch of graduates from the Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School receiving their diplomas yesterday said they have not only received a stellar education at the school, but were also trained in overcoming the type of adversity they will all face in the real world.

Summit Montessori Author Celebration

On June 7, the seven kindergarten students of Summit Montessori School in Framingham hosted an Author Celebration for their families and friends. The celebration was the culmination of their year in Writer's Workshop where they learned to write, illustrate, edit, revise, re-write and present a piece of writing. Each child read an original story they wrote and illustrated during Summit Montessori's Literacy Program. This intense, four hour per week program, focuses on reading, writing, spelling and handwriting. During the program, the kindergarteners wrote and illustrated their book, "The Clever Little Fish at the Bottom of the Sea," which won them an Honorable Mention in the Scholastic Book Fair competition Kids are Authors. The Summit students were the only kindergarten class out of thousands of national entries to win recognition.
