SEXUAL HEALTH

Staying Alive is MTV’s global HIV and AIDS prevention campaign. For the past two decades it has challenged stigma and discrimination associated with HIV and AIDS and empowered young people to protect themselves from infection. It has become the world’s largest HIV and AIDS media campaign and working with partners globally continues to give help and support to anyone who has been affected by HIV and AIDS.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Launched in 2007, MTV SWITCH is the first dedicated campaign on climate change for young people. MTV believes that no action – however small – is insignificant when it comes to making a difference to global warming. So try our very own carbon calculator and work out how you can make a difference.

MTV UK doesn’t always have the answers to the questions you might have so we have partnered with some organisations that are already doing some great work with 16-24 year olds.

Big White Wall is a support network where, completely anonymously, you can share your feelings, get support if you are feeling stressed or anxious and make friends with others who feel the same; Urban Concepts is one of the leading groups in the campaigning against violence among young people and Frank is the national advice and help service for anyone thinking about drugs.

It’s not easy being young these days. Not only is there so much to do and never enough time but there are often choices and decisions to be made with often no information except the advice of friends.

So MTV is working with other organisations to create one place where you can find some of the information you might need to make decisions around the certain topics in the areas of health and well-being. On this site you will find information on sexual and mental health, drugs, anti-violence and climate change.
