'Smallville' fan goes full double-rainbow watching the series finale

smallville-finale-screencap.jpg
If you did not watch the series finale of "Smallville" -- or the 10 seasons leading up to it -- you clearly missed out. Because it's apparently the greatest thing to ever happen on television.

The Mary Sue [via io9] points out one video of a "Smallville" super-fan, YouTube user mauriceantsimmons, recording his television during the series' final moments, while he narrates the experience with a marathon of squeals, grunts and impersonations of Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally."

Running over 6 minutes, you may not want to endure the whole thing, but it's definitely worth making it to the 2:50 mark, when he randomly screams "America!"

OMG just wow... lmbo... wow just wow... i love smallville and had cancelled things to watch it and put things on hold and bought all the dvds but man oh man... this guy is just plain nuts,,, AMERICA... lol

I saw this last night on Tumblr, hilarious. I love it actually; and loved that finale...well maybe not as much as him, but it was great. :)

Sounds like gay porn.

It shames me that this is a male. I would expect such a reaction from a middle-aged woman watching Oprah. Smallville wasn't even that good. It had a few good parts (Erica Durance's boobies) but plenty of crap. Plenty. (Lana Lang going all Matrix-y? Doomsday battle anyone? The absolutely terrible music in the last episode when Clark is watching his retrospective in the crystals? The fact that they refused to do anything but super-wide CGI shots of Welling as Superman in this clip alone?) Why did I watch it for ten years? I dunno. I guess I like crap. Also, what else is there to do on a Saturday afternoon but watch what was recorded on Friday.

what time did it come on last night central?

I have to say, the guy made me laugh and grin. After watching the Supernatural season 6 finale and being rather ho-hummed by it, I found this gentlemen's thorough enjoyment of the Smallville series finale heartwarming. I'm thrilled all his expectations were met. I hoped I'm as over-the-moon when Supernatural concludes.
