Eva Longoria has a wardrobe malfunction on 'Letterman' [Video]

When Eva Longoria stopped by David Letterman's couch in a micro-tuxedo to talk about her new cookbook, the "Desperate Housewives" actress gave the host a bit more than he bargained for — a wardrobe malfunction, to be exact.

"I wore a tuxedo for you," Longoria said when she arrived onstage.

"Or part of one," Letterman quipped back.

Then the button on her teeny-tiny jacket gave way, prompting Letterman to say, "We're going to lose our liquor license, I know it." (Watch the malfunction above.)

Among the things they discussed: soapy cilantro, okra and Oprah.

Eva Longoria Parker promotes her cookbook 'Eva's Kitchen'Longoria, 36, has been promoting her cookbook, "Eva's Kitchen." She said the book, coupled with cooking, helped her get through her ugly divorce from Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs.

The actress, a longtime foodie, turned to the kitchen and helping out friends post-divorce. Since February, she's been linked to Eduardo Cruz, Penelope Cruz's little bro, but has been reluctant to get into the dating scene.

"I'm really domestic, so I had a really strong identity in being a wife," Longoria told Rachael Ray. "Finding myself again outside of somebody else has been not even challenging — it's been fun. It's been like, here we go!"

The complete opposite of her character Gabrielle Solis, no?

The "Beso" restaurateur said she wants to have a family, but in the meantime she's taken in two live-in friends at her house.

"I'm like the mother hen for a sorority house. It's all women, all the time. So, we're always cooking! I love it!"

Longoria, who married the basketball player in  an extravagant "7-7-07" ceremony, said the divorce, which was just as public, made it more difficult.

"It was hard," she said in promos for Thursday's episode of "Piers Morgan Tonight." "It was devastating to go through on its own, much less publicly."

Maybe it's a good thing her button popped off — to distract people from less pleasant issues?

'The Birds' star Tippi Hedren earns Humane Society's Genesis Lifetime Achievement Award

Tippi1 There may not be much members of Congress can agree on, but Democrats and Republicans come together on at least one thing: Tippi Hedren rocks.

The animal activist and former movie actress co-wrote the Captive Wildlife Safety Act, which bans interstate commerce in exotic cats for the pet industry. Both houses passed it unanimously in 2003, and the president signed it into law a week after a 10-year-old boy in North Carolina was mauled by his aunt's pet tiger.

Not bad for a Hitchcock blond. The Humane Society of the United States thought so too and honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award on Saturday evening in Beverly Hills. The event was the 24th annual Genesis Awards, recognizing film, TV and print media that promote animal welfare. (Click on the image below for more photos from the event.)

Tippi gallery promo  Before presenting the award to her mother, actress Melanie Griffith mused that her mom had won a Golden Globe for Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." "Isn't it ironic that after that film she went on to become an animal advocate?"

Now that you mention it -- Hedren founded the Shambala Preserve for abandoned captive-born exotic felines in the Mojave Desert, where she's the den mother to 68 lions, tigers, servals, cougars and leopards cast off by circuses, private owners and zoos.

"I had to have help getting up these stairs because I've been tackled by so many lions and tigers," she said when she reached the podium in the packed ballroom at the Beverly Hills Hotel. "Really. I'm like an old football player."

All of which should explain Griffith's exotic upbringing ...

Snoop Dogg plus Martha Stewart plus brownies equals moments of pure televised joy

Martha Stewart might be quick to diss Rachael Ray's baking skills, but when it comes to Snoop Dogg's kitchen magic, she's ready to embrace her guest's style.

And to rap with him about marijuana-laced brownies

Guess she enjoyed the way he shanked her potatoes last year.

Just watch the video from today's "Martha Stewart Show" -- we can't get it goofier than these two already did. We assume Martha's kitchen is free of sticks and seeds from the get-go.

Note to Rachael: If Martha invites you back, drop the cooking-for-a-busy-family thing and embrace your inner rap star -- it's not as if you don't know she's down with her hip-hop self.

And if anyone isn't in a position to watch the video now, here's a tasty, testy take-away tidbit from Ms. Stewart to Mr. Dogg:
