How Kim Kardashian's 20.5-carat engagement ring from Kris Humphries compares with other sparklers [Poll]

Kim Kardashian's 20.5 carat engagement ring from Kris Humphries Kim Kardashian's engagement ring from Kris Humphries could be stealing the reality TV starlet's spotlight.

The 20.5-carat custom-designed piece made a public appearance on Kardashian's finger when she and Humphries were catching an international flight from LAX on Wednesday, Us Weekly reported.

The platinum ring features a 16.5-carat emerald cut center stone placed between two 2-carat trapezoids. Humphries had the ring designed after a replica of a ring Kardashian had coveted at a young age, according to People. And no, it wasn't a ring pop, but it might as well have been.

"In high school, I went to Macy's and bought this fake ring, my 'perfect' ring, and this is almost the exact same,” she told the magazine. Friend and jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz turned that "perfect ring" into the dazzler she's sporting now.

"I just knew I wanted it to be big!" Kardashian said. "It's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."

The ring's estimated worth is at least $1 million, but others appraise it at double that price.

So, how heavy is that bad boy? Roughly 4 ounces, the New York Daily News reported, comparing the stud to a deck of cards on your finger. Talk about a full wrist workout...

But Kardashian's ring isn't the only lavish looker out there. Here are a few other swoon-worthy sparklers, some of which lasted longer than the couples:

Hilary Duff's ring from hockey player Mike Comrie: 14 carats, $1 million

Khloé Kardashian's ring from Lakers star Lamar Odom: $850,000

Beyonce's ring from mogul Jay-Z: 18 carats, $5 million

Carrie Underwood's ring from hockey player Mike Fisher: 12 carats, $800,000

Christina Aguilera's ring from Jordan Bratman: 20 carats, $54,000

Jessica Simpson's ring from NFL player Eric Johnson: 8 carats, $100,000

Paris Hilton's rings from billionaire Paris Latsis: 24 carats, $5 million, and 15 carats, $2.1 million

Jennifer Lopez's ring from Ben Affleck: 6 carats, $1.2 million.

Kate Middleton's ring from Prince William: 18 carats, $265,000

Perhaps marrying an athlete, actor or royalty is the way to go?

What do you think of Kardashian's bling? Take the poll and tell us in comments.

Hines Ward: 'Dancing With the Stars' win 'equally important' as Super Bowl victories

Hines Ward wins 'Dancing With the Stars'

"Dancing With the Stars" champ Hines Ward plans to put his mirror ball trophy right in between his two Super Bowl trophies.

The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and first-time dancer beat out funny lady Kirstie Alley and Disney darling Chelsea Kane when he won the ballroom dancing competition with partner Kym Johnson on Tuesday, despite her earlier neck injury.

"I have a place in my trophy case with my Super Bowl MVP trophy, right between my two Lombardis. It's gonna look nice," said Ward, a guest blogger on The Times' Fabulous Forum.

Hines earned a perfect score from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli when he and Johnson reenacted their Week 3 samba to Earth, Wind & Fire's "Fantasy," showing off the football player's fluid hips and winning smile.

"That was wonderful," Inaba said during judging. "You dance with heart and it shows."

(In all fairness, Alley and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kane and partner Mark Ballas also earned perfect scores in the much-hyped Season 12 finale.)

Steeler Nation definitely came through for Ward, perhaps with a little bit of help from Johnson's dazzling canary-yellow bustier and bouncy backstage jog.

The 35-year-old athlete said that the "Dancing With the Stars" title and two Super Bowl wins were equally important to him. Seriously.

"They mean different things," he said. "Winning the Super Bowl symbolized being the best in my profession. It along with winning the Super Bowl MVP is the ultimate goal both individually and as a team. It says we are good at what we do as professionals. Winning the mirror ball trophy for me symbolizes overcoming my fear of the unknown. It says that I was able to excel at something I knew nothing about. I was able to rise above difficulty and take a risk. Both prove that hard work pays off. Both are special."

Runner-up Alley, whose body transformation from "Fat Actress" and chemistry with Chmerkovskiy won over many viewers this season, was disappointed by the loss.

"I feel like we did amazing, but you want to win," the 60-year-old actress told reporters after the finale. "We didn't win, so I can't say we didn't have any sadness."

But that didn't last long.

"Oh...ps don't be upset about us not winning for long.... I won so much in the last 13 weeks that it would take hours to convey...LOVE," she later tweeted.

Kim Kardashian engaged to NBA star Kris Humphries; Kardashian family reacts

Kim Kardashian engaged to Kris Humphries
Kim Kardashian
is engaged to Kris Humphries after six months of dating and quite a bit of PDA. Exciting as the news is, the real shocker is that the reality star kept her megawatt engagement ring hidden for a week.

The New Jersey Nets star asked the reality TV gal to marry him by surprising her at her Beverly Hills home on May 18, People reports. He covered her bedroom with rose petals spelling out "Will you marry Me?" sealing the deal with a custom-made 20.5 carat Lorraine Schwartz ring. (A stunner that rivals the size of her famed backside.)

Kim Kardashian engaged to Kris HumphriesHumphries was in cahoots with Kardashian's mom/manager Kris Jenner, who threw the couple an intimate celebration at home after the proposal.

"I didn't expect this at all," Kardashian told the mag. "I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

But Kardashian, 30, and Humphries, 26, seemed to be priming fans for a big announcement for weeks, exchanging lovey dovey messages on Twitter and telling the media how great their families were getting along. They were recently spotted shopping for engagement rings and she was photographed frequently at his basketball games. E! also announced that he'd be featured on the next season on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

In January, she met his parents after only a few months of dating and he seemed to be the reason the curvy California girl decided to extend her stay in the Big Apple after wrapping "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." All along the way, she reiterated how she didn't like dating, wanted to settle down and was jealous that her sisters Khloe and Kourtney had already gotten hitched or started families. So an engagement almost seemed imminent.

"OMGGGGGGG!!!!!!!! It's true! I couldn't be happier!" Kardashian wrote on her blog, also confirming the annoucement on Twitter. "Thank you guys for all of the sweet messages!!!

Oscar De La Hoya enters rehab, promises swift comeback

Oscar De La Hoya checks into rehab
Former boxer Oscar De La Hoya has checked into a California rehab facility to be treated for substance abuse.

"After doing an honest evaluation of myself, I recognize that there are certain issues that I need to work on," he said in a statement Saturday. "Like everyone, I have my flaws, and I do not want to be one of those people that is afraid to admit and address those flaws."

De La Hoya, 38, entered the facility a few weeks ago for treatment. The former champion boxer last fought in 2008 and had been fronting his boxing company Golden Boy Promotions since 2005.

"Throughout my career and my life, I have always met all challenges head-on, and this is no different," the statement said. "I am confident that with the support of my family and friends, I will become a stronger, healthier person. I ask for respect and privacy as my family and I go through this process."

De La Hoya was last seen publicly May 6 at the Boxing Writers Assn. of America event in Las Vegas. Though the statement did not specify what he was being treated for, TMZ indicated that the Golden Boy had been drinking and using cocaine before entering treatment. Its source said that De La Hoya did not believe he had hit rock bottom but went to rehab before things got out of control.

Over the weekend, he tweeted about the rapture, his wife, Millie Corretjer, and viewing the Shane Mosely-Manny Pacquiao matchup. But once the story broke, fans began pouring in the love, prompting him to address their concerns through tweets.

"I'm sincerely humbled by the support I've been receiving and promise you that I will knock out this disease I have. There is no doubt [in] My mind that I will become stronger and more humble with this experience," he wrote.

The former Olympic gold medalist said that in recent weeks he had "grown as a person" and had found a "higher power" who gives him strength to live life in "a humiliating way," adding that he was learning to love himself first "so I can love those around me."

He also said he planned to come back soon, stronger than ever.

Macho Man Randy Savage dies after car accident; pro wrestling star was 58

Randy "Macho Man" Savage died Friday after a car crash

This post has been updated. See the note below for details.

Macho Man Randy Savage died Friday morning in Florida after reportedly suffering a heart attack at the wheel, crossing the median and crashing his Jeep Wrangler into a tree. The former pro wrestling star was 58.

Second wife Lynn Payne was a passenger during the crash and suffered minor injuries, Florida Highway Patrol told TMZ, which first reported the news. Wrestler Lanny Poffo confirmed the death of his brother, born Randall Mario Poffo, to the website.

[Updated, 12:05 p.m.: Lanny Poffo told TMZ that Randy had suffered a heart attack; the highway patrol report says Savage "lost control for unknown reasons," according to the St. Petersberg Times, and that a heart attack could not be confirmed until an autopsy was done.]

Macho Man Randy Savage is dead. The couple, married last May, recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. Savage died of his injuries at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Fla. Both were reportedly wearing seatbelts.

Pro wrestling community reacts to Savage's death

"He had so much life in his eyes & in his spirit, I just pray that he's happy and in a better place and we miss him," fellow wrestler Hulk Hogan said Friday on Twitter. "We miss him a lot. I feel horrible about the ten years of having no communication. This was a tough one."

Twitter queen Alyssa Milano was also among those offering condolences, tweeting, "Rest in peace, Macho Man Randy Savage."

"I feel so fortunate that I had a second chance to marry my first love, here where it all began," Savage said a year ago, after his Lido Beach wedding to Payne, whom he'd met there decades before.

First wife Elizabeth Hulette, pro wrestling's Miss Elizabeth, died of an overdose in 2003; they'd divorced in 1992.

He was back on the wrestling scene in a fashion with the release of a wrestling all-stars video game early this year, promoting the game in a video embedded below.

Savage, who announced the release of a Macho Man action figure -- not his first -- at Comic-Con in July 2010, was known for his catch phrase "Ooooooh yeaahhh" and his affiliation with Slim Jim snacks. See the Comic-Con announcement below.

In addition to his pro wrestling success -- including multiple reigns as WWE (then WWF) and WCW champion -- Savage appeared as Bone Saw McGraw, the wrestler Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker faces off with in "Spider-Man" (2002), among other occasional acting gigs, and released a rap album, "Be a Man" (2003).

As Randy Poffo, he played minor league baseball in the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnatti Reds systems in the early 1970s. Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen was also among those expressing condolences Friday.

Hayden Panettiere and boxer Wladimir Klitschko break up

Hayden Panettiere and boxer Wladimir Klitschko break upThis post has been corrected. See the note below for details.

Hayden Panettiere and boxer Wladimir Klitschko have ended their two-year relationship.

"Even though we've decided splitting up is best for both of us, we have an amazing amount of love and respect for each other and remain very close friends," Panettiere told People.

And maybe it is for the best. Spelling their complicated names together was proving to be a brain buster.

The "Scream 4" actress, 21, and Klitschko, a Ukrainian boxing champ who, at 35, is 14 years her senior, said that the long-distance thing just wasn't working out.

"We had a great time together, but it's not that easy to manage a relationship between two continents," he told the mag. "I have a lot of respect for Hayden as a person and as a friend, and I believe we'll keep our friendship even after the separation."

Really? Are you sure it wasn't the spelling problem? Also, we think by "long distance" he also meant the glaring height difference between him and the petite actress. He towers at 6-foot-6, while she hovers at 5-foot-2.

Panettiere was spotted shopping in Beverly Hills while the IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight world champion was off training for a heavyweight showdown with David Haye on July 2 in Germany, the Daily Mail reported. He was recently featured in the documentary "Klitschko," which followed the boxing careers of him and his brother Vitali Klitschko.

Panettiere, who played the controversial role of Amanda Knox in a Lifetime film that aired in February, will also voice Little Red Riding Hood in "Hoodwinked Too! Hood Vs. Evil," and will costar with Josh Hutcherson and Alfred Molina in the drama "Carmel" out later this year.

[For the record, 4:40 p.m. May 12: The post originally said Panettiere would star in an upcoming Lifetime movie about Amanda Knox. That movie aired in February.]

Kris Humphries to join Kim Kardashian on 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'

Kris Humprhies to join Kim Kardashian on 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians'

Kim Kardashian's basketball beau, Kris Humphries, will be joining her and her family on the sixth season of the reality-TV staple "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

Kris Humprhies to join Kim Kardashian on 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' Producers had teased the beginning of their relationship on spinoff show "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." Now her budding romance with the New Jersey Nets forward -- or, as Kim calls him, "the one" -- will be featured in the next 12 episodes of "Kardashians," E! announced.

Sounds serious. The two were recently rumored to be scoping out engagement rings by Neil Lane at a Kay Jewelers in New York. Kimmie, however, strikes us as a Harry Winston kind of girl ...

Sisters Khloé Kardashian (aka Mrs. Lamar Odom) and Kourtney Kardashian said they're hesitant to invest their emotions in their sister's new relationship. (Do the names Damon Thomas, Ray J and Reggie Bush ring a bell?) Humphries will join the reality dynasty, procreated by late and famed O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian, on a family vacation to the tropics to celebrate mom Kris and stepdad Bruce Jenner's 20th wedding anniversary.

The show will lead into the launch of the new reality series "Ice Loves Coco," which follows the love life of couple Ice-T and his wife, Coco. Watch the teaser for that gem.

The new season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" kicks off June 12 with Kourtney at odds with mother and manager Kris for turning their family into a business rather than remaining emotionally connected. Perhaps rightfully so? Kim earned an estimated $6 million last year under her mother's reign. Kourtney and Khloé made $2.5 million each.

Kourtney, who moves into a new home with baby daddy Scott Disick, also battles with her boyfriend about giving her mother a key to their new abode, and Kris isn't happy about her daughter wanting to have a second child out of wedlock.

Meanwhile, Khloé, who will have just ended her newlywed spinoff "Khloe and Lamar" with her Lakers hubbie, is shown managing her household with her sisters in addition to their DASH boutiques in Los Angeles, Miami and New York.

The rest of the brood, which includes brother Rob Kardashian, probably just sits there and looks pretty, though E! promises that he'll be bridging the gap between him and Disick since their falling out at his sister's scandalous birthday party. Younger sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner work their way back into their sisters' spotlight. Kim takes Kendall, an aspiring model, back to New York with her to help jumpstart her career, but little K is overwhelmed by her older sister's vigilant work ethic.

Drama, drama, drama.

Will you be tuning in?

Mike Tyson's face-tattoo artist sues over ink in 'The Hangover 2'

Tysonhelms2panel

The artist behind Mike Tyson's famous facial tattoo sued Warner Bros. in federal court Thursday over the tattoo's design being replicated on Ed Helms' face in the upcoming film "The Hangover Part II."

Missouri artist  S. Victor Whitmill, who tattooed Tyson's face in Las Vegas in 2003, brought the suit in St. Louis court seeking to block Warner Bros. from using the tattoo in ads for the film, which is due out in late May.

The suit alleges that Whitmill retained all the rights to the image, including the copyright, even though it was tattooed to the former boxer's face, the St. Louis Times reported. Whitmill currently works out of a studio in Waynesville, Mo.

In the R-rated film's trailer, Helms' character acquires the tattoo after a wild night of bachelor revelry with costars Bradley CooperJustin Bartha and Zach Galifianakis. Helms' character, who famously loses teeth in the first film, has to deal with the stamp on his face before his wedding day.

"When Mr. Whitmill created the Original Tattoo, Mr. Tyson agreed that Mr. Whitmill would own the artwork and thus, the copyright in the Original Tattoo," the complaint said. "Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. -- without attempting to contact Mr. Whitmill, obtain his permission, or credit his creation -- has copied Mr. Whitmill's Original Tattoo and placed it on the face of another actor ... This unauthorized exploitation of the Original Tattoo constitutes copyright infringement."

The ads have been ubiquitous and the appearance of the tattoo is a pivotal tease to a second cameo for Tyson despite his absence in the trailer.

Warner Bros. declined to comment on the lawsuit.

Kristin Cavallari engaged to Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are engaged TV personality Kristin Cavallari is engaged to Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears, her beau of less than a year.

The NFL quarterback whisked "The Hills" gal off to Cabo on a surprise trip over Easter weekend so he could propose, a source told People.

The two have been dating since last fall, and at the beginning Cutler played it down, telling the Chicago Sun-Times, "I had dinner with her, and that was pretty much about it."

Though Cavallari is currently in Los Angeles, she has family in the Chicago area. Cutler joined the Bears in 2009, the Fabulous Forum noted, coming from the Denver Broncos.

"My mom is there -- and that side of my family -- so, I get to spend time with my mom who I don’t get to see that often," she told "Access Hollywood" in February, after gushing that Cutler might be the one. "But it's been great. I love the city and during the football season I was there a lot. Now, we're both out here."

Cavallari was famously part of a love triangle involving Stephen Colletti and Lauren Conrad on MTV's high school reality show "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County." Cavallari and Conrad then went on to do "The Hills."

Is Kim Kardashian priming fans for a big Kris Humphries announcement?

Kim Kardashian is in love with Kris Humphries Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries may be turning up the heart.

The reality TV star and her New Jersey Nets forward have been keeping their relationship in the public eye, especially on Twitter.

"Its hard to remember how it felt before, now I've found the love of my life..." Kardashian tweeted Monday after the two spent the Easter holiday decorating eggs together.

After wrapping "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" with her older sister, the coy bad-girl-gone-good decided to stay in the Big Apple instead of moving back to L.A. Humphries had been introduced as a love interest, suggesting he was the reason she would stay on the East Coast.

Kim hasn't been the luckiest in love after a tough breakup with New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush. Her love life has also taken a backseat to Kourtney Kardashian's infamous romance with Scott Disick, and Khloe Kardashian's happily-ever-after hitched to the Lakers' Lamar Odom (and making a show of it).

Now things seem to be looking up for Lady K, who had been somber about the Armenian genocide earlier this month. Might she and Humphries be gearing up for a big move-in announcement? Perhaps -- for months, rumors have been flying that the couple are planning to cohabitate -- though the middle Kardashian sister strikes us more as the engagement type.

Despite the Ministry's general wariness regarding a love interest who shares the same first name as a girl's mom, we're staying tuned.
