Eye Candy

EYE-CANDY.jpg

A gaggle of young ballerinas leave the shade of a gazebo for a fashion shoot at Elizabeth Garden in West Hartford.

The dictionary reads: "Eye Candy: visual images that are superficially attractive and entertaining but intellectually undemanding." Time constraints lead to eye candy.

Sometimes while enterprising we discover situations with pleasing appeal. I could be color, light, or composition. The picture doesn't say much but the image is striking. We strive for moments but often we find eye candy.

The girls were waiting for directions from the photographer inside a vine covered gazebo. I explained to the parents why I was there. I made some throw away frames to get them used to my camera and waited for them to exit.

PRO TIP: Look for the moments but don't ignore the candy.
Shot with a Canon 5D, 17 mm - 24 mm lens metered 1/2 stop under exposed and let the outside blowout.
