Friends and family were saying goodbye Friday to Maryland State Trooper Shaft S. Hunter, who was killed in a crash last weekend on Interstate 95, near the entrance ramp to Route 32 in Howard County. Police said Hunter, 39, may have been pursuing a speeding motorcycle when his cruiser hit a tractor-trailer. The funeral was held at New Antioch Baptist Church in Randallstown, followed by burial at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
