Steve Martin and Seth Meyers coming to Chicago for Just For Laughs

Steve Martin The lineup for the 2011 TBS Just For Laughs Festival (June 14-19 at various locations) has improved significantly: The festival announced Tuesday that the comedy heavyweights Steve Martin and Seth Meyers have been added.

Martin, who needs little introduction, will appears with Martin Short at the Chicago Theater on June 19 in a show billed as "Steve Martin and Martin Short in a Very Stupid Conversation." The festival says its the first time the two Martins have ever appeared on stage together.

Meanwhile, Meyers, a former Chicago improvisor now best known for his work on "Saturday Night Live," will return to his Chicago roots with a stand-up show at The Vic Theatre on June 18.

Just For Laughs also announced the addition of a June 15 show at The Vic by comedian Jo Koy, and a new Rosemont Theatre double-bill featuring “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” comics Ron White and Rodney Carrington. Meanwhile, Hannibal Buress, Kumail Nanjiani, Kristen Schaal and Paul F. Tompkins have been added as guests to the previously announced Demetri Martin show on June 16.
