Cycling great Lance Armstrong is returning to Calgary to raise money for cancer research.

The seven-time Tour de France champion and cancer survivor will lead cyclists on a 60-kilometre ride on Sept. 8 to help the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation celebrate its 25th anniversary.

As part of LinkPink 2011 Armstrong will also speak about his experiences with cancer and take questions moderated by cycling commentator Phil Ligget at a dinner that evening.

This will be Armstrong’s sixth fundraising visit to Calgary since 2003.

He’s helped raised about $7 million for the Alberta Cancer Foundation during those visits.
