Man who ejaculated in coworker’s water faces sentencing

10:48 am, Apr 22nd, 2011 KTLA Newport Beach News Add a Comment

SANTA ANA (KTLA) — A man accused of ejaculating twice into a co-worker’s drinking water is scheduled to appear in court Friday to face sentencing for assault and battery.

Michael Kevin Lallana “felt that was as close as he could get” to the 29-year-old executive assistant, said Deputy District Attorney Brock Zimmon.

“He did it for the purpose of sexual gratification.”

The 32-year old from Fullerton admitted that he ejaculated into an “attractive” co-worker’s water bottle because “her lips had touched it,” but told detectives he never thought she would drink it.

He faces a maximum sentence of one year in jail and sex offender registration.

He was charged in February with six misdemeanor counts of releasing an offensive material in a public place and assault, with sentencing allegations for committing a crime for sexual gratification.

Students end sit-in at Cal State Fullerton

The Cal State Fullerton students who protested budget cuts across the Cal State system with a four-day sit-in on the Fullerton campus said Thursday they can sleep in their own beds again, content with their effort.

After hammering out the language with administrators through the morning, the students agreed to a letter that ends the protest in the campus administration building.

By Thursday afternoon, the students’ sleeping bags were rolled up, and their eyes were bleary from days with little or no sleep. Yet they still had the energy to cheer as CSUF President Milton A. Gordon signed the letter, which was called a Statement in Defense of Public Education.

The one-page document offers a shared desire “to recommit to and reinvest in public education,” but does not outline any policy initiatives or make any promises regarding the university budget.

Orange County authorities search for man who approached 10-year-old boy

Orange County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who approached a 10-year-old boy walking to school.

About 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, a fourth-grader was walking to Del Obispo Elementary School in San Juan Capistrano when he was approached by a man in a late-model gray or silver Chevy pickup and told to get in the vehicle.

The boy did not report the incident until about 11 a.m. He described the man as a 50- to 60-year-old white male with short gray hair, a gray jacket and Levis, and a “big red nose.” He said the man pulled up next to him near Del Obispo and Avenida Pedregal and rolled down the window.

Ducks Jarkko Ruutu gets one-game suspension

The NHL suspended Ducks forward Jarkko Ruutu for one game for delivering a late hit to Nashville Predators forward Martin Erat in Game 4 of the first-round playoff series.

The incident occurred four minutes into the second period and Ruutu was assessed a minor penalty for interference on the play.  The Ducks won Wednesday’s game 6-3 to tie the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.

Ducks Coach Randy Carlyle  told reporters, “To me it’s absurd that there’s even mention of a hearing when a guy has a shoulder-on-shoulder bodycheck and the player passes the puck and they’re saying it’s so many tenths of a second that they allow.
