EDMONTON - Residents in two large areas of the Edmonton had no power on Thursday evening as strong winds threw debris on power lines and downed poles.
Just before 7 p.m., power went out between 114th Street and 122nd Street, from 100th Avenue to 104th Avenue, said Scott Lundy, spokesman for EPCOR.
Thursday evening, power was also out from 103rd Street to 125th Street between 95th Avenue to 106th Avenue. There were also several, smaller areas in the city’s northwest that experienced outages.
EPCOR has called out additional crews to repair the damaged power lines.
As of Thursday evening, EPCOR did not know when power would be restored.
