Here are the prime-time averages for the broadcast networks: Fox with 18.7 million, CBS with 10.9 million, Disney-owned ABC with 6.2 million, NBC with 4.8 million and The CW with 1.6 million.

CBS ran second to “Idol” with “Survivor” (10.4 million viewers) and “”Criminal Minds” (13.1 million). CBS ended the night with “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior,” which drew 9.1 million viewers. “NCIS” and  “Dancing With the Stars“ were the biggest draws Tuesday night, according to updated ratings released this afternoon.

CBS had the most viewers in prime time, but NBC had the most young adults, thanks to a strong showing by “The Voice.”

At 8, “NCIS” was the biggest draw with 17.6 million viewers. A “Dancing With the Stars” recap special pulled 11.3 million to ABC. Fox’s “Glee” attracted 9.3 million to the prom episode and edged “NCIS” as the favorite of young adults in the time slot. “The Biggest Loser” won the attention of nearly 7 million over two hours for NBC.

At 9, the “Dancing” result show was tops as 17.5 million viewers witnessed the departure of rapper Romeo. He was certainly gracious, though, wasn’t he? “NCIS: Los Angeles” brought 14.7 million viewers to CBS. The Fox audience drooped to 5.1 million for “Raising Hope” and to 3.1 million for “Traffic Light.”

At 10, “The Good Wife” was the favorite of 11.7 million. “The Voice” was heard by 10.5 million, and ABC’s “Body of Proof” was the choice of 10.1 million. But “The Voice” was the top show of the night among the 18-to-49 crowd, which is most important to advertisers. And “Body of Proof” edged “The Good Wife” in that count. But in strictly dramatic terms, it was another top-notch episode for “The Good Wife.” And isn’t the relationship of Alicia and Kalinda the most crucial to the show’s appeal?

Here are the prime-time averages: CBS with 14.7 million, Disney-owned ABC with 13 million, NBC with 8.1 million, Fox with 6.7 million and The CW with 1.2 million. “One Tree Hill” drew 1.3 million, and “Hellcats” had 1.2 million cheering. NBC won the 18-to-49 age group by a comfortable margin; CBS edged Fox in that count. ABC was fourth.

In Orlando, the “Dancing With the Stars” results show was tops with 283,100 viewers. CBS had the most viewers Tuesday night. But NBC had the most young adults, thanks to another strong showing by ”The Voice,” which looks like it’s going to lift NBC’s fortunes.

But ABC and Fox had reasons to be happy as well.

The night’s most-watched show was CBS’ “NCIS” with 17.9 million viewers, who got an insight into the history of Gibbs and Tony. Another good sign: “CSI” was as popular with young adults as Fox’s “Glee.”

A “Dancing With the Stars” recap pulled 9.4 million to ABC. Fox’s “Glee” had 8.9 million singing along. ”The Biggest Loser” drew 7.5 million to NBC.

At 9, “Dancing With the Stars” attracted 16.1 million viewers to the ejection of Kendra Wilkinson. “NCIS: Los Angeles” was the destination for 14.2 million. And “The Voice” averaged 12.6 million over two hours. But “The Voice” was the night’s strongest show among the 18-to-49 age group, and any show that attracts so many of those viewers has to be considered a hit.

At 10, “The Voice” was in front, but “The Good Wife” on CBS (12.4 million) and “Body of Proof” on ABC (10.2 million) were not far behind in total viewers. In the 18-to-49 age group, “The Voice” dwarfed the dramas.

Way back were The CW shows from “One Tree Hill” (1.2 million) and “Hellcats” (1 mllion). And Fox took a dip after “Glee” with “Raising Hope” (4.7 million) and “Traffic Light” (2.9 million).

The prime-time averages: CBS with 14.8 million, ABC with 11.9 million, NBC with 10.9 mllion, Fox with 6.3 million and The CW with 1.1 million. CBS placed second to NBC in the 18-to-49 age group.

Rounding out the top five were “Body of Proof” with 187,200, the “Dancing” recap with 173,100 and “NCIS: Los Angeles” with 155,000. Right behind them were “The Voice” with 129,300 and “The Good Wife” with 121,900.

James Durbin set the pace on Wednesday's 'American Idol.' Photo credit: Michael Becker/Fox

Wednesday’s edition of “American Idol” cleaned up in the ratings, but it also suggested that there is a clear-cut front-runner.

James Durbin was far superior than the other five hopefuls. Jennifer Lopez acknowledged that James has been the consistent singer, and Randy Jackson proclaimed the young man could win it all.

Do you think James will win it all? Does such a strong front-runner help or hurt “Idol” before the May 25 finale?

The next singer will be ejected in the results show at 8 tonight on WOFL-Channel 35. Bruno Mars and “Idol” runner-up Crystal Bowersox will perform.
