Scott Mitchell was nervously awaiting to find out his fate in Sunday’s CFL Canadian draft when the No. 1-rated offensive lineman out of Rice University got on the phone with his mom, Valerie, back home in Ottawa. Fittingly on Mother’s day.
 
 
 
Eric Tillman’s lips remained tightly closed when the topic of who the Edmonton Eskimos general manager might select Sunday with the second overall pick of the 2011 CFL Canadian college draft.
