Steven Zeitchik

Steven Zeitchik is a Los Angeles Times staff writer who covers the art and business of film (and, sometimes, the intersection of the two). He previously reported on entertainment for Variety and The Hollywood Reporter and, while at THR, ran the film blog Risky Business, an apt name if ever there was one. He has worked in Jerusalem for the Associated Press and was the recipient of a 2003 Arthur Burns Journalism Fellowship in Berlin, where he wrote pieces for the Washington Post and the International Herald Tribune. He also has contributed arts and culture stories to the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times and was a staff writer covering media at Publishers Weekly and new media (now old media) for The Industry Standard. You can find him at the L.A. Times, on 24 Frames, Twitter (@ZeitchikLAT) and wherever fine housewares are sold.

Hello Steven -

Enjoy your work on the various Times blogs, and frequently reference them on my radio show dealing with all aspects of the film industry.

I am planning to launch an evening version of the program in the near future, and would love to have you on as a guest sometime (would most likely be late afternoon/early evening West Coast time). If interested, please reply and we'll make something happen!

Thanks!

Steve Holmes a/k/a Reel Brother Steve

Dear Steven,
I am a resident of Almaden Valley and knew of the Tillman family; in fact my husband taught at Pat's middle school for 21 years, Bret Harte.

How can I borrow or see a copy of your documentary: The Tillman Story". I have read the Krakauer book and was surprised to see somewhere in my musings on the internet that the Tillman family seems to have very negative feelings for Krakauer. I thought the book was very supportive and positive on Pat and very questioning of the US Army and gov't. in the cover up. Can you tell me where I can see the Documentary? Thanks.Lynn Lehmann

Steven.
If you believe Christmas Stories have run their course please check out http://www.santalivenow.com or http://www.merry-christmas-story.com and feature in your blog.
Kind Regards Derek
