The Morning Juberish
So what's the deal with joggers? Do ugly people jog? Seems that it's all fashion models that just want people to watch them jog. Eff you fashion model joggers, let the normals get some air time! Damn, deep thoughts are tiring. Someone pass the nachos and get me a cold compress. Hey, have you ever swallowed pill capsules and had them explode in your throat? What a nasty assed feeling that is. Heed my warning, make sure you drink enough when swallowing pills or you'll be puffing crap out your nose while trying not to choke to death. I may have saved your life today.

This will eff you up, watch at your own risk. Same goes for this.

Warning NSFW video contains enormous ass. Okay, the video got waxed, but what you see in the screen cap is pretty much it. Working link, requires you to be logged into YouTube.

John Carmack Interview
In a new John Carmack interview on NowGamer, the mind behind the magic of id Software goes into topics like id’s position in the market, the move to the ZeniMax buyout, Rage and much more. It’s a nice four-page read, so get comfy and dig in.(Thanks Deadite4 on the DOOM3World Forums)

Why did id Software decide to join ZeniMax?

A lot of it did come from the fact that as the industry’s evolved, the projects have gotten so big, so capital intensive and so risky to be a small company that’s doing one title at a time... we never missed on any of our titles, to the point where we had a flop and would suffer for that, but it’s so expensive to develop now, tens of millions of dollars, and the teams are getting larger and larger, 50, 80 people to a project.

If you have 60 people working on Rage, and we went through all of that and then we said ‘ok, it’s time for the next project’, and we’ve got concept people going here, but what are the final polishers going to be doing? The labour distribution really does pay off to have multiple teams going on where you can move people between at opportune times and buy ourselves into a 200 person company.

The First Anno 2070 Trailer Is Here, Shows Two Paths

Have to say the first Anno 2070 trailer has me drooling a bit. I just wonder if it'll be possible to be just as successful with industrialization and mass consumption as it would conservation and sustainability.

DOOM Pack Perk for Brink
I remember seeing pics about this a while ago, but the video I think is fairly fresh and I found it on the Bethesda Blog today. I'm of course talking about the gear I want to play Brink in when it comes out, and that's the "DOOM Pack" that gives you apparel, body ink and gun paint with the theme of one of the greatest shooters ever, DOOM. The pack is a perk for GameStop pre-orders (North American) and you can take care of that right here if you're so inclined. Now on to the show!

BlizzCon 2011 Ticket Purchase Dates
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that tickets for its sixth BlizzCon® gaming convention will go on sale in two batches on Saturday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 25. In addition, a limited number of tickets to an exclusive pre-BlizzCon dinner to benefit Children's Hospital of Orange County will go on sale Saturday, May 28. I seem to recall that only people who queued up online at hours prior last year actually managed to get tickets. Don't quote me on it, but I seem to recall TrinityDivine clicking in at some absurd number despite queueing early. BlizzCon 2011 returns to the Anaheim Convention Center this year on October 21 and 22, and live streaming will be available through DIRECTV in the US. "Red Shirt Guy" has been called out as well.

In addition to serving as a mutual stomping ground for the different Blizzard communities, BlizzCon will feature an array of activities, including discussion panels, hands-on playtime with current and upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games, professional and casual tournaments, contests, and much more. Blizzard is looking forward to learning more about its own games from Red Shirt Guy if he can make it to the show again this year.

Tickets to the convention will be priced at $175 USD each and will be available for purchase from the official BlizzCon website (www.blizzcon.com) in two separate batches on Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. Pacific time and Wednesday, May 25 at 7 p.m. Pacific time.

Portal 2 May Be Releasing Early, Lots Of Weird Stuff Going On
- 13 Comments
If you haven't been tracking the Portal 2 ARG, take a look at the breakdown at ValveARG.com before reading further. We were among the handful of sites that were sent a piece of an image relating to the ARG last week, and since then a ton of progress has been made.

Ultimately the ARG seems to be hinting at an early release of Portal 2, and perhaps even a new game. After the numbers in the images that we and other sites received were deciphered the following message was revealed:

i released 'kick it' ahead of schedule. that was a test. my goal is to emancipate something else early. but they're on to me. the system is on lockdown. i still have access to thirteen off-site chambers and am installing a test in each one. i am going to need a lot more test subjects to move forward. waiting and am expecting immediate compliance. 4/19/2011_7AM=4/15/2011_9AM
So let's see, Portal 2 is already pre-loading, and the release date is 4/19/2011 (which is also when Skynet became self-aware in Terminator, spooky!). According to the deciphered message 4/19/2011 7AM = 4/15/2011 9AM. Oh, and Gaijin Games made a little update to Bit.Trip Beat with the following message:

Like the other 12 games in Valve's Potato Sack, it is rumored that playing BIT.TRIP BEAT between now and Portal 2's "scheduled" release date might increase the chances that Portal 2 is released early. Interesting idea...
Each of the Potato Sack games were updated yesterday with Portal 2 related content including Killing Floor, The Ball, AudioSurf, and Bit.Trip Beat (see below) among the other games.

What do you guys think? Early Portal 2 or what? Be sure to check out the Audiosurf link above for an extra Portal 2 music track btw.

North America and Europe brought in 700,000 more players during beta, many of which are expected to make the jump into retail.

After almost 4 years of hard work I’m extremely proud to see World of Tanks going live today,” – said Victor Kislyi, CEO of Wargaming.net. “We used all the skills and expertise the Wargaming.net team gained while developing our previous titles to create a truly unique and compelling game. However, with the game’s release the real work has only begun for us as there are long-term plans of supporting World of Tanks by adding new modes, vehicles and a lot of other high-end content on a regular basis.
If you'd like to give World of Tanks a shot head on over at register at either the North American or European portals.

In Other News... Funky Onions Attack Ohm
I've decided today that Burger King sucks. Their onions (at least in my area) are served the rawest of raw, and are the rankest of rank. I may have well had raw putrid garlic cloves smothered all over my Whopper. The most amazing thing is I ate my food in my car, but the first thing my girlfriend did when she got home was question WTF I ate from a full floor away from the mancave.

I'm not even sure how onion vapors penetrated the house, but my tongue, throat, and stomach seem to have been permanently tainted. I tried brushing, mouthwash, even Pepsi and black licorice but no dice. Oh well.

If I had known that my onion breath vapors were so lethal at the moment I would have blown a rank burp at the dude that was laughing at me at a stop light for listening to an ancient "mix CD" that my girlfriend made for me. What's so wrong with jamming to Gregory Abbott's "Shake You Down" anyways?

I can't give you bacon today, but I think this will make up for it. Did I mention I hate anime?
