Do you have questions about U.S. students' knowledge and skills in comparison to their international peers?

With the International Data Explorer (IDE) you can create statistical tables and charts to help you find answers. Explore student performance in reading, mathematics, and science, as well as contextual data including student demographics, instructional experiences, and school characteristics.

Enter PISA IDE The PISA IDE provides results for the United States and other participating countries from the administration of PISA in 2000, 2006 and 2009. Results include 2009 and 2006 mathematics, science and reading literacy results and 2000 reading literacy results for 15-year-old students; responses to a student questionnaire about their background, attitudes, and school experiences; and responses to a school questionnaire about school characteristics and resources.
Enter PIRLS IDE The PIRLS IDE provides results for the United States and 44 other jurisdictions from the administration of PIRLS in 2006. Results include reading achievement of fourth-grade students; responses to a student questionnaire about their background, attitudes, and school experiences; responses to a teacher questionnaire about instructional practices, resources, and background and training; and responses to a school questionnaire about school characteristics and resources.
Enter TIMSS IDE The TIMSS IDE provides results for the United States and 57 other jurisdictions from the administration of TIMSS in 2007. Results include mathematics and science achievement of fourth and eighth-grade students; responses to a student questionnaire about their background, attitudes, and school experiences; responses to a teacher questionnaire about instructional practices, resources, and background and training; and responses to a school questionnaire about school characteristics and resources.
NOTE: Continuous variables, for e.g. "Highest parental education in years" and "Learning time (minutes per week)" are not currently available in the IDE.
