Discover

Recommendations from fellow fans.

iTunes makes it easy to find new music, movies, TV shows, games, apps, and podcasts when you browse what listeners (and watchers and players) have also bought.

iTunes Essentials.

iTunes Essentials helps you discover new music, rediscover artists and albums, and explore different genres. Delve into an artist’s discography: from the biggest hits to the hidden gems. And you can browse music by genres and history.

Celebrity Playlists.

See what your favorite celebrities are rocking out to with Celebrity Playlists, available from the More in Music section of the iTunes Store. You can read track-by-track commentary on why celebrities like who they like. And you just might like them, too.

Recommendations from iTunes.

What you buy says a lot about what you like. That’s why iTunes gives you suggestions. Ping shows you what music your friends and favorite artists are buying, while Genius tells you which music, movies, and TV shows you might like based on your previous purchases. Looking for new apps? Genius shows you recommendations for apps in the App Store on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. You’ll find new apps you might like based on the ones you already have. On your iPad, tap to get music, movie, and TV recommendations, too. Once you find something you like, you can download and start enjoying it right away.

What’s hot, week by week.

Download the free Single of the Week and discover an artist who might become your next favorite. And every Tuesday, the iTunes Store debuts new and upcoming releases for you to buy or pre-order. Subscribe to iTunes Newsletters and receive the weekly New Music Tuesday via email.

Artist Profiles

With iTunes Ping, you can set your inner groupie free by following your favorite artists. Learn all there is to know, starting with their bios. See what they’ve been doing, what they’re listening to, and where they’re on tour, and check out photos and videos they’ve posted.

Profiles

Find new music by finding out what your friends are listening to. Check out their bios and hear 30-second previews of the music they like. Read their album, song, and concert reviews and add your point of view. See which other friends and artists they’re following — and who’s following them back.

Recent Activity

Stay musically connected with the Recent Activity feed in iTunes. See a list of recent updates showing what your friends, favorite artists, and celebrities are up to. Watch video or check out photos from artists you follow. And tell everyone about your musical tastes.

Find Friends

It's easy to find friends on Ping. Choose "Invite friends by email" and select MobileMe, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or AOL to connect to your email address book. You’ll see which of your friends are already on Ping and which ones you should invite to join.

Connect with Twitter

Find and add people you follow on Twitter who are also on Ping, and automatically tweet your Ping activity. From the Recent Activity page, select "Connect to Twitter", and you’ll be able to choose and follow your Twitter friends.

Concerts

Keep tabs on when your favorite artists are on tour thanks to concert pages on iTunes. Check out an artist’s or band’s concert page and see when they’ll be performing near you. And see which of your friends are heading to the show.

Mobile Ping

All the social features of iTunes are available on your iPad, iPod touch, or iPhone. So you don’t need to be at your computer to follow a new friend, check out where your favorite band’s next gig is, or tell the world what you’re listening to.
