April Fools' Day weekend is shaping up to be a pretty interesting mix at the box office. Summit rolls out its mind-twisting thriller Source Code, Universal bounces in with its CG animated/live-action kids film Hop and FilmDistrict launches as a distributor with the horror flick Insidious. All three are looking strong in different demos.

Unaccounted for here on the Flixster grid is the release of the re-cut, PG-13 version of The King's Speech, which the Weinstein Co. is pushing into theaters, as well.

Warners just released the trailer for The Hangover Part II. It premiered Thursday at CinemaCon, the annual conference for theatre owners and exhibitors where, according to our peeps, this KILLED.

And how can we argue. This is a damn good trailer that promises more laughs and mayhem. And you know when sequels lamely tell the same story just in a different setting, or bring back the same characters in some lame fashion just to shoehorn them back?  This trailer manages to pull off the feat, even rub our faces in it, yet make us love it.

Will Ferrell and Rebecca Hall star in the story of a man living on his front lawn and selling all his belongings after he loses his wife and his job.

Melissa Rosenberg to Write and Produce 'Earthseed' for Paramount (Exclusive)

Melissa Rosenberg is set to write and produce an adaptation of the 1983 young-adult sci-fi novel Earthseed, written by Pamela Sargent. The project will launch the film side of Rosenberg's new production company, Tall Girls Prods.

Paramount Film Group president Adam Goodman, who has long wanted to make a movie adaptation of the book, optioned the film rights and brought the material to Rosenberg. He will shepherd for the studio along with vp Ashley Brucks.

Tribeca Fest Makes 'The Bang Bang Club' and 'Last Night' Available on VOD

Tribeca Film announced Tuesday that it will release four films from the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival line-up on VOD from April 20 through June 23.

The Bang Bang Club, The Bleeding House, Last Night and Neds will be available on demand nationwide during that window under the "Tribeca Film" banner ahead of theatrical dates. Bang Bang will be in limited release April 22 and Last Night on May 6.
