Inaugurated in 1981, the Aviation Museum was constructed by the Civil Aeronautics Administration of Communications Ministry in line with the government's policy of cultural development for the purpose of preserving aviation history and improving public understanding of the civil aviation industry,
The museum provides educational, creative and enjoyable exhibitions rich with information on aviation and illustrated with accurate replicas of real aircraft. The museum is the first of its kind in Taiwan.
