Vice President Joe Biden called on every governor to hold a college completion summit, released a "tool kit" of suggested completion strategies, and announced new innovation funds for colleges to boost completion levels.

Secretary Duncan visited a school implementing an inclusion program, spoke at the American Association of People with Disabilities conference, and vowed to end the "2% rule."

Representatives from 16 countries and regions attended the International Summit on the Teaching Profession to identify and share best practices for recruiting, preparing, and supporting teachers.

"I want every child in this country to head back to school in the fall knowing that their education is America’s priority," President Obama said. "Let’s fix No Child Left Behind."
