The World Basketball Association (WBA) recently announced their roster of participants for the 8th Annual Historical Black College All-Star Classic (HBCAC). Six players from the SIAC were selected to play, including Andrae Nelson of Tuskegee University.
Freshman pitchers Karisa Foye and Latifah Kelly tossed shutouts against Lane College at the Women’s Softball Field at Tuskegee University.
Freshman Karisa Foye (4-2) was the winning pitcher in three of the four softball games the Lady Golden Tigers of Tuskegee (6-4, 4-0 SIAC West) won against Stillman College on Friday and Saturday at the Tuskegee University Women’s Softball Field.

Third-seeded and defending SIAC Tournament titleholder, Tuskegee (19-8), defeated Morehouse 78-72 on Thursday evening at Forbes Arena on the campus of Morehouse College. With the win, the Golden Tigers advanced to the semifinals of the 78th Annual Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference basketball tournament.
After winning their opening game on Wednesday evening, the Tuskegee Tigerettes dropped a close second round basketball matchup with Miles College on Thursday afternoon, 66-63. The loss eliminated them from tournament play.
The Tuskegee University Tigerettes advanced to the second round of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) basketball tournament by defeating the Claflin Lady Panthers, 68-50 on Wednesday evening at the Forbes Arena in Atlanta, Ga.

The Golden Tigers, the defending champions, are on a roll heading into the 2011 SIAC Tournament. They closed out the regular season with another strong week as they knocked off Paine, Fort Valley State and Stillman.
The Tigerettes ended the season by losing four of their last five games and will go into the SIAC Tournament with a 15-11 overall record and a 13-9 conference mark. The tournament starts Wednesday in Atlanta.
